Asus Rog Strix b550-xe gaming wifi, PCIE tunneling?

I have a new ThunderboltEX 4 card installed into my Ryzen 9 5900x; Rog Strix b550-xe Gaming wifi motherboard, and for some reason, PCIE tunneling isn't turning on.

I've read through tons of form pages and even reached out to the ASUS support team without help.

I'm trying to run my UA  Apollo Twin X and it shows up in Thunderbolt Control Center but for some reason, it's not on the approved devices and I think it has something to do with PCIE Tunneling.

Hello, @jhatts

Could you please provide your current BIOS version, the driver version you installed from the official website, and whether your Thunderbolt Firmware version is 1.4 or 1.3?
If you have not updated the BIOS to the latest version 3607 released on April 3, 2024, please consider updating and clearing CMOS, then check again.
Additionally, due to the lack of relevant specification information, could you please confirm the PCIe specifications of the "UA Apollo Twin X" and ensure that both the firmware and drivers are updated to the latest versions?

Thank you.

The Bios was up to date and I had already installed Thunderbolt Firmware V1.4.

All the drivers for the Apollo Twin X are up to date.

I will try clearing the CMOS and hope that fixes it.

Update,

I cleared the CMOS and had no luck.

Hello, @jhatts

As previously inquired, due to the lack of specification details for the Thunderbolt device you are connecting, could you please confirm whether the "UA Apollo Twin X" is a Thunderbolt 1, 2, 3, or 4 device?
In the BIOS settings, does enabling Thunderbolt Support make any difference?
Additionally, if possible, please try cross-testing with other Thunderbolt 1 or 2 devices.

Thank you.
