Asus rog maximus z890 hero - Sound problems with rear/front jack

Hello everyone

I need your help because i´m getting crazy with this sh@t.

I'm trying to use my headphones (Steelseries Arctis 3 wired) with the rear/front jack but I'm having problems with both.

On the rear jack, just got sound from the left side. The right side doesn't work. I'm using an audio spliter cable, that came with the headphones. Before after unplugging and plugging the headphones while playing something loud, i got both channels working but after a while, not always, the right channel stops working.  Not even unplugging and plugging the headphones doesn't work.

On the front jack (my case is a Hyte y70), after plugging the headphones directly to the jack, i got sound for 3/4 seconds and then no sound. Most of the times, i got no sound at all.

Before someone says it, i tested the headphones on a smartphone and both sides work fine. I uninstalled and reinstalled the realtek drivers that are at asus website to this MB. I reinstalled windows 11 without success. I even got another splitter and the problems keep happening.

Does anyone have some suggestions to solve this or what i can try to find the problem?

Hello @Kelhas88

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Based on the situation you have described, we recommend avoiding the use of any splitter or cross-test with other headphones directly connected to the audio ports on the rear I/O panel of the motherboard. This will help verify the audio output using a single, direct line.
Additionally, please check your system’s audio settings and ensure that all audio enhancement features (such as spatial sound or virtual surround) are disabled to maintain a pure stereo output. We also suggest reviewing the “Change advanced power settings” options to confirm that there are no power limitations affecting the audio ports. You may also consider using an external DAC or headphone amplifier to help improve output stability.

Thank you.

Hello @Jiaszzz_ROG

Thanks for your reply. This headphones have mic included, that´s why i need to use the splitter. I have another headphones, this one without mic, and plugged directly on the read jack. Sound comes out just from the left side. The power settings seens ok. I don´t see anything that possiblly can cause this issue. I´m thinking that this motherboard have issues with the audio jacks.

Thanks
