I am looking to upgrade my RAM from 16 gigs to 32 and when I look at the spec sheet for it, it says all RAM runs at 2666, but it accepts up to 4800?? Why do I need to overclock/DOCP it to get my actual frequencies? Makes no sense to me.
Second question is every time I've tried to use ASUS Ezflash in the bios to upgrade from 5404 to 5602 it just freezes at bios or tells me its not a valid bios, when its worked fine in the past

Hello @Zalsaria
Thank you for reaching out to us, and sorry for any inconvenience caused by the delayed response.
May I ask which CPU model you currently have installed, and what specific issue you are encountering that leads you to check the QVL? According to the ROG_Crosshair_VII_Series_Ryzen_3000-series_Memory_QVL, memory modules with speeds of 3200, 3400, and above are supported.
You may also refer to the Tech Specs of the ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO to further confirm memory compatibility.
Regarding the BIOS update, could you kindly try updating the BIOS using the USB BIOS FlashBack™ function? Alternatively, you may attempt to update incrementally by first upgrading from version 5404 to 5502, and then from 5502 to 5602, to see if the update process completes successfully.
If needed, please refer to the step-by-step instructions in the [Motherboard] How to use USB BIOS FlashBack™?
Thank you.
