Hello good morning.
I have a problem, Every time I restart my computer the motherboard gives me error code 53 and it freezes on a black screen and I have to shut down the computer forcefully to be able to access again normally...
These are my components
I912900K +
NZXT Z73 KRAKEN +
Asus Z790 Hero Bios 0904 +
32 RAM G.Skill 6400 F5-6400J3239G16GA2-TZ5RK
4TB M.2 Samsung Pro 980 +
EVGA 3090 .
This is what I did to see if it fixes
1. Turning off fast boot
2. XMP on and off (no memtest issues in both cases. 0 errors)
3. CMOS reset and return to default settings.
4.Reinstall Windows 11
5.Downgrade BIOS version
6.Test in each RAM slot
7.Remove the graphics card to see if that was the problem
8.Test with a single RAM module
9.Change cooldown to see if it's too much pressure
I don't know what else to do to fix it...........

Hi guys, replying to my original post on how I thought my issue was solved. I failed to mention I also uninstalled Armoury Crate on that day itself. Seeing that there is a lot of post on how there was issues with RGB sync, that could be the root cause.

it usually happens once you've used your pc for at least a couple of hours. It doesnt happen if you've just restarted from a fresh failed restart.

Yeap, absolutely, i’m able to recreate the issue consistently now, just game for about 2 hours and perform a system restart.
It won’t post with Q LED code 53.
Im able to reproduce this issue with stock JEDEC speeds 4800mhz and XMP speeds as well 6400mhz .
So it doesn’t seem to be a memory overclock issue.

i found a fix for mine issue i formated the windows without instaling armory crate and the problem is gonna i think its because aurasync . after 1 week i instal the armorycrate and the app update my chipset after that the problem comes back (my rgb freeze and not smooth) so i restart my pc the code 53 comes back . now i delete the armorycrate with uninstaller tool and instaled the chipset driver all over and till now my pc works fine no issue at all

I also have the hero with a g.skil memory kit and am having the same issue at first I thought maybe it was the lga1700 socket bracket so I replaced that with a pressure plate thinking that would fix the issue but it did not, also replaced out the memory for new g.skil, wondering if this is just with g.skil kits or all ddrs 5 with this board. Has anyone tried to rma to Asus ? I know I have heard they have not been taking care of there customer very well all the gamer nexus and jay 2 cents videos

I wanted to chime in here and share that I too am having this very same issue with my Z790 Hero MOBO. I just completed building my system a couple weeks ago (Intel 13900K with Asus 4090 Strix). I haven't 100% verified exactly when it happens to my system but reading through this thread I believe it is only occurring during reboots after the computer has been on for several hours. When restarting it will hang on error 53 and I have to hard cycle it to get it to recover. I have updated the BIOS to the latest version. I haven't done any extensive troubleshooting since I just noticed it happened again last night while trying to do a windows 11 update. It has happened at least 4 times since I've put the system together. I usually shut my computer down when not using it so I'm sure if I restarted more it would be popping up more often. Hard resetting the PC gets it going and any restarts immediately after that show no issues. I also am using 2 sticks of the Gskill F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK. This has me thinking the problem lies with the G.Skill memory modules? I may just go ahead and purchase the Kingston modules and make the change. Has this been 100% verified to correct the issue for some people? Kind of irritating that the modules I bought are listed on the Asus compatibility list.
I have zero issues with the system while using it and playing games. Just this annoying code 53 upon restarts.
