Hi everyone,
I have an asus proart x670e-creator wifi motherboard and an amd 7950x along with 96gb of ram. The problems I have with the motherboard is when I connect thunderbolt devices. If I connect them with the system started, it doesn't recognize them. If I connect them when the system is off and then start it, 20% of the time it recognizes them, the remaining 80% it doesn't. In bios, I have the proper values configured in AMD PBS, with the enable and no security options. The device I want to connect is an external asus rtx 4080. Can you help me?

Hello @ramonramonram

Thank you for reaching out to us.
According to the specifications of the ProArt X670E-CREATOR WIFI, it supports USB4 rather than Thunderbolt ports, as they are different specifications of connections.

Could you please clarify if this issue occurred right after the PC was first built or after using it for some time, and if it happened following any recent changes, such as a Windows update or component replacement?
May I ask what your current BIOS version is, and after clearing CMOS and booting with default BIOS settings (with no manual adjustments or overclocking) and adjusting the Windows power settings to ensure there are no additional restrictions under "Change advanced power settings," does the issue improve?
What Thunderbolt devices are you using, and are you using a hub or dock? Does connecting the device directly to the USB 4 port make any difference?
If needed, please consider updating the BIOS to the latest version 2124 and checking again.
