Hi,
I’m new to installing GPU’s, I usually get a CPU with the built in graphics. However, the Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE motherboard uses the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9955WX which does not include built in graphics.
I want to use all 7 PCIe slots if possible. However the ASUS GPU that I am thinking of using has a 2.5-Slot Design. My case is a monster Thermaltake AX700 Super Tower with the AX100 Pedestal. So I have plenty of room to work with.
I want to use the following in the computer:
PCIe x 16 (G5) 1 (x4+x4+x4+x4)
ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 Gen5 Card (PCIe 5.0/4.0) Supports Four NVMe M.2 (2242/2260/2280/22110) Devices up to 512 Gbps for AMD and Intel® Platform RAID Functions.

I’m also going to use a M.2 Key E Wuden Tri-Band WiFi 7 QCNCM865 Bluetooth 5.4 Wireless WiFi Card for Win11 but if that does not work out I will need a WiFi card in one of the PCIe slots.

My question is can I use a GPU in slot 7 so I can use the other 6 slots for other things? Also, if so, would I need a riser so I could get to the plugs underneath the GPU?

After consultation with our technical team, if space permits in your chassis, you may install the GPUs in the PCIEX16(G5) slots 4, 5, and 7 on the Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE.
Additionally, we would recommend avoiding using extension cables or adapters when installing the GPU to prevent any potential compatibility or stability issues.
