Hi so I’m having an issue with my motherboard

I have done all the usual things reseated everything and it all looks good

i was having issues booting into windows so I managed to boot into a windows pe where I had aida64 did a stress test on my cpu to see if it was a cpu issue but the cpu was stable and had no issues

so the next thing I did was a clear CMOS which is were the big issue started and the motherboard is now saying error code 00 with red led on the CPU led

so from everything I’ve tested I assume my motherboard has been dying and has finally died

so any advice on the RMA process in the UK would be helpful

Hello @Mattmactimpson

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you please clarify what hardware or software changes were made prior to encountering this issue when booting into Windows, such as whether this occurred after a BIOS update or the installation of a new system drive?
If you remove the chassis and test with only the CPU installed on the motherboard, using integrated graphics for display output (if supported), a single RAM module installed in the DIMM_A2 slot, and the PSU connected, are you able to power on and access the BIOS?
For repair services in Europe, standard RMA procedures are typically processed through the reseller. Since this model may be considered a legacy product, we recommend contacting the reseller to verify available repair options and warranty coverage.
Additionally, as verifying certain details may involve personal information, I have DM you. Kindly check your inbox in the upper-right corner at your convenience.

Thank you.

The symptoms you describe indicate motherboard failure, given the 00 error code and the lit CPU LED. Before you proceed with an RMA, try reseating the CPU, check for any bent pins, and, if possible, test the motherboard with a different power supply. If the issue continues, look up your motherboard's warranty on the manufacturer's website and contact their UK support for RMA instructions. You might want to have proof of purchase, just in case. If you still have any queries, keep your eyes on the FAQ provided by Asus.

Hope this may help!

I took it to a local repair shop and confirmed the motherboard is dead

there is no direct ram in the uk and the place of purchase said it would cost around £250 to repair

I managed to find the same motherboard new for £230 so hopefully it will be the solution
