Hey.
Asus rog z790 dark hero
I9 14900k
Geforce Palit 4080
ddr 5 Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 2x32 (6600)
Immediately after updating BIOZ 0801 on the Dark Hero z790 and after entering the desktop, gpu Coil Whine appeared
Could this be somehow related between the BIOS and the video card? Or is this just a coincidence? I looked at another power supply and nothing changed. Sorry bad eng.

"1. Improved system performance.
2. Patched LogoFail vulnerabilities.
3. Updated default setting for PCIe bandwidth bifurcation configuration.
Updating this BIOS will simultaneously update the corresponding intel ME to version 16.1.30.2307. Please note after you update this BIOS, the ME version remains the updated one even if you roll back to an older BIOS later.
Before running the USB BIOS Flashback tool, please rename the BIOS file (A5469.CAP) using BIOSRenamer."

Hello, @DariaLT
May I inquire about the version from which you updated to BIOS 0801, and is there any specific functionality you needed or hardware replacement that prompted the BIOS update?
If you clear CMOS, does the coil whine condition improve?
Besides the high-frequency noise, have you encountered any other abnormalities during usage after the BIOS update?
If possible, could you provide a video recording of the coil whine?
Thank you.

Hello
Currently ROG MAXIMUS Z790 DARK HERO BIOS 0801
Coil whistling on the video card appeared immediately after updating to BIOS 0801
BIOS 0507 worked without coil whistling.
This problem occurs on two 4080 video cards.
At first I thought it was a problem with the card, but when I turned on another 4080 card, the whistle remained the same.
I repeat that this problem appeared immediately after updating BIOS 0801 and only occurs in games
After updating the BIOS, there were no problems other than whistling.

If you don't have specific requirements for BIOS features, we recommend reflashing back to the 0507 BIOS version.
Once it is confirmed that the hardware functions correctly and there are no issues with the GPU in the 0507 BIOS, it is advisable to stay in this relatively stable version.
Thank you.
