Asus Creator z690 no rezizable bar

I can not enable resizable bar. I have enabled it in bios and disabled legacy boot in Bios.  Above 4G decoding is also "disabled".  But  "enable Resizable Bar "  is greyed out , but it says "Enabled".     In Windows it says "NO" Recizable Bar"  in Nvidia System setiings.

I think Creator Motherboards have no Recizable Bar. Or have I missed something. My Asus Maximus XIII Hero morherboard has Recizable Bar enabled by default in Bios and in Windows

Ok, sounds good.

I'd be interested to know if you were able to enable Resizable Bar.

Asus support is the most incompetent support I've ever experienced.  First of all, who am I in contact with? Here I was contacted  by a Customer Service Agent. And in my email I was contacted by  Asus Support center,,,,,Who should I answer and why are there 2 from ASUS?

I sent an  email with all my information , but no one gets it or no one reads it. Then suddenly someone says he has received my email, but he needs me to doublecheck if I have followed the guide and want me to tell him what CPU and memory I have. This information was in my first email I sent  (3 pictures of my BIOS with information about CPU, Memory, UEFI setiings and Rezisable Bar.)   What is going on with ASUS?  It's useless and incompetent. I need ONE person to solve my problem. ONE person i can communicate with and send info to.  This is waste of time. My problem is  in Bios :  Above 4G  Decoding is grayed out - causing Rezisable BAR to be disabled  in Windows and NVidia Control Panel  - in GPU-Z it's also disabled. Saying it's disabled in BIOS. Above 4GDdecoding  MUST be ENABLED before Rezisable BAR works. But again...it's grayed out. Question is......WHY is it grayed out? BIOS failure?  It has nothing to do with power supply, CPU or Memory. Rezisable BAR worked on my  ASUS Z590 Maximus XIII Hero.  So the problem is either BIOS or mothertboard. I need answers not questions from 2 different persons- If you can't solve my problem... tell  me, don't waste my time with more questions. Above this post there are 4 pictures.......

Hi,

Can't seem to see anywhere in this thread where you've stated what GPU you're using, or which BIOS version you're on (I'm aware you've said you're on the latest).

Can you confirm; go to Device Manager > Display Adaptors > Right Click GPU > Properties > Resources

Look for Large Memory Range. If the GPU VBIOS is RBAR ready it should be visible.

Clearly you're visibly frustrated, but if it is a BIOS issue I'd have expected to see more (or any) other reports - so these things need confirming. Perhaps check over on ZenTalk to see if anyone else has encountered the issue, as this is the ROG forum https://zentalk.asus.com/t5/motherboards/bd-p/motherboards

Hello, @emsir

Regarding the email you mentioned, you may want to be aware that the email address "noreply, bot" is part of the forum's automated notification system for thread updates.

Therefore, when anyone replies to a thread you've created—currently, it's just me and Silent_Scone—the system automatically sends you an email notification.
If you do not wish to receive these notifications, please click on your profile in the upper right corner, go to My settings > Email > Email Settings, and check and save the option "Don't send me any community emails."
Additionally, as mentioned in Silent_Scone's response, since the Resizable BAR feature is associated with the CPU, motherboard, and graphics card, please help us understand the specifications of your graphics card.
These requested specifications are essential information we need for further troubleshooting, and we appreciate your cooperation and response in advance.

Thank you.

Now 3 persons are answering my posts. A “Super Moderator” has arrived.

But my problem is simple. And I will repeat my question:

Why is “Above 4G decoding “greyed out in my BIOS? (but Enabled)

Everything related to Rezisable Bar is enabled in BIOS……

BUT in Nvidia Control Panel it’s disabled

In GPU’Z it says Rezisable BAR is disabled in BIOS

Problem is clearly related to BIOS and greyed out “Above 4G Decoding”

And to ask which CPU I have….Z690 is ONLY for 11th /12th Generation CPU’s. And in the second post I attached a shot of my Bios where you clearly can see my CPU is I9 12900 KS. And then you ask about my CPU?

But my CPU has nothing to do with Rezisable BAR settings in BIOS. My Memory has nothing to do with Rezisable BAR settings. My PSU (Corsair 1000W) has nothing to do with Rezisable BAR.

How do I know that?

Because I have built computers for over 20 years and know how computers and motherboards work.

I am responsible for over 40 computers in different offiices

Have built a lot of gaming computers thru the years. Most of them Asus systems.

Latest is Z790 with Rezisable Bar enabled in BIOS AND Windows!

ASUS is a BIG company and have to ask how difficult it is to connect a Creator Z690 motherboard and check if the problem is the same as mine?

As I see it …..very difficult.

Even with 3 persons looking at my posts

Yes, very difficult indeed considering I can't see where you've answered my question regarding checking the memory register function is present.  If you'd done any research, you'd know this setting is how one confirms the GPU is REBAR ready and doesn't pertain directly to "memory" as you seem to understand it.

Perhaps you'll have more luck on the Zen forum, best of luck!
