Hi @Kartik6893 if you can share the full make and model number of the previous memory that was working well and the new memory that is giving an error, you will get better help.

Also, since you mentioned that the problem started with this new memory, have you check the QVL of your board and is this new memory on it? Do you have the ability to get your memory replaced with some other brand or model since this one is giving your trouble; like you are in the time period where you can exchange the memory from where you bought it?

Hi,

Thanks for the advice.

The new RAM I installed is the Crucial 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR4-3200 UDIMM (I have attached photo). The previous memory that was working fine was G Skill trident(Attached photo as well).

I have checked the QVL before also to see if this RAM is listed but it wasn't so I contacted Asus guys and they recommended me this ram as the rams listed in QVL list are no more available also I can't exchange or get refund on rams.New ramNew ramBIOSBIOSEarlier ramEarlier ramAIDA64AIDA64

Hi @Kartik6893 , thank you for sharing this information. Can you also explain what exactly are you doing after a CMOS Reset? Do you make any changes in BIOS after the reset like enabling XMP or anything else you change? If are making any changes, what happens if you don't make any changes in BIOS? Does your system work without a need for CMOS Reset?

I'm also confused as to why you are changing the memory since your old memory was faster and was the same size (16 GB total).

I also tried to check the memory specifications on the www.crucial.com website and I could not find your memory model number cb8gu3200.c8rt ddr4-3200 udimm. Did you buy this memory used or new? It may be part of some laptop being sold as used. This means it will have compatibility issues with another company's computer system. You can go to Crucial website and check their memory computability for your board and the model I find that is compatible is CT2K8G4DFRA32A . See below

Can you please show the complete picture of the screen from BIOS where you only showed the memory speed, voltage etc. (this is your 2nd image above). How does you BIOS screen look where I see you have 2 RED lines shown?

Hello @Kartik6893

Based on your description, the issue occurred after replacing the memory.
May I ask whether your current BIOS version is 1301 and if the booting issue will be resolved if you cross-test with the prior memory or another?
According to the ROG MAXIMUS IX APEX user manual, Q-Code 01 indicates "Power on. Reset type detection (soft/hard)."
We recommend that you refer to the user manual to ensure that all hardware, including the power cable and PSU, is correctly installed, and please also try cross-testing with different PSUs if possible.

Thank you.
