Another case of Q-Code 00

Hello everyone!

I have finally decided to build a new setup. As a basis, I should ROG CROSSHAIR X870E HERO dienen.

For the CPU I chose the Ryzen 9 9950x3D.

RAM is the Corsair Dominator Titanium set decided (2x32GB, Timings: 30-36-36-76) Official Supported by the Mainboard an Asus!

M.2 is Samsung 9100 pro 2TB

I have a Corsair AIO (iCue Link Titan 360 RX LCD)

And the Corsair HX1500i powers supply.

For the Case i chose the Hyte Y70 with the LCD-screen

Now my problem is that when I press the Power button no matter whether MB or Case. The fans, AIO, RAM and MB light up, stuck at Q-Code 00 (Manual "Note used"). No other LEDs .

There is no screen output, not on test GPUs and also not on the internal, and nothing else, with and whithout Riser-Cable.

I rebuild everything completely 3 times, tested in case and outside (Bench), only with necessary components (Power, CPU, 1 RAM Stick).

The CPU gets warm after couple of minutes (tested without AIO), on the AIO it shows after couple minutes to around 35C°.

If GPU is installed fans run non stop on 100%

Flashed the BIOS couple times with the latest 3 releases, in case a BIOS update is corrupted.

CMOS reset with no power and the Button on the MB and Battery out and no power supply, waited around 24 hours. Changed the CMOS Battery to with a new one just in case.

I left the System running over night, so maybe thinks fix it self but also no results.

So I don't know what I can test, I read everything on the internet. I don't know if the Ryzen is dead or the MB is malfunction. I currentlt don't have other MB's or CPU's to test other combinations. All parts are brand new. I have experience in building Setups.

Hopefully anyone can help me.

Thanks in advance for helpful answers.

Hi @Aiimazinq

Simply put, 00 indicates no CPU installed or lack of detection. You should remove the CPU cooler and CPU and inspect both the socket and CPU pin-pad for any debris or damage.

If all looks ok, remount the CPU and cooler, ensuring for consistent mounting pressure. Retest and report back.

I've already checked everything several times. Socket pins and CPU pads. I even tested without a cooler because I know there are pressure issues. I've since spoken to the dealer and sent everything back. As soon as I get the credit, I'll reorder the components. Or even go straight to the extreme version. I'm still undecided.

Ok, no worries. It can only be the CPU or the motherboard.

Yes, I know. That's why I returned both. And now I ordered even the Hero Extreme.
