9800X3D Constant DRAM Light On TUF X670E PLUS

Abandonation

Today I bought the 9800x3d processor to use in my TUF X670E PLUS motherboard. I installed it, but the yellow DRAM light is always on, and after two minutes the computer shuts down.
I did the BIOS update to the latest (3057).
I did a clear CMOS, removed the motherboard battery and power cable, waited 20 minutes, shorted the clear CMOS pins for 10 seconds.

It did not turn on at all. When I switched back to 7700X it worked fine. I am using G-Skill Trident Neo 6000MHZ CL30 RAM 2x16.

What should I do?

I have the same issue on an X670E-PLUS, except I'm using a 9900X and Corsair memory. Everything worked fine with a 7900X. After swapping to the new CPU, the DRAM light stays on and the system doesn't POST.

Hello @Abandonation

Thank you for reaching out to us.
In addition to checking for any bent CPU pins or improper hardware installation, please note that RAM compatibility may vary depending on the CPU installed.
Could you share the part number of your G.Skill Trident Neo 6000MHz CL30 RAM (2x16) and confirm if it is listed in the TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS QVL?

We recommend testing by installing a single RAM module in the DIMM_A2 slot, clearing CMOS, and attempting to boot. If the system boots successfully, you can then install the second module in DIMM_B2.

If the issue persists and the system still fails to boot, could you share a video demonstrating the problem?
The suggested recording steps are as follows: Start recording> Show the hardware setup on the motherboard (e.g., a single RAM module in DIMM_A2 and the connections of other hardware)> Clear CMOS and attempt to boot> Capture the Q-LED indicator status when the system fails to boot> End recording.

Thank you.

Hello,

I've sent 9800X3D for RMA. If it returns, I am going to try the process with the new beta (3061) bios.

I've checked QVL, my kits are 6000J3038F16GX2. And it exists in that list, so it is compatible. By the way, pins are in mint condition.

Here's what I've tried:

  1. Updated BIOS to 3057.
  2. Cleared CMOS with replacing MB Battery.
  3. Cleared CMOS with pins.
  4. Changed RAM slots.
  5. Changed 2 RAMs to 1 RAM , tried various slots including only A2.
  6. Downgraded BIOS to 3024.
  7. Tried the things above, didn't work.
  8. Upgraded to BIOS 3057 again.

After everything I've tried, it didn't work. When I changed to 7700X, it worked perfectly.

Hello @Abandonation

Thank you for the prompt reply. May I ask if your full memory part number is F5-6000J3038F16GX2-XXXX?
According to the Memory QVL for the TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS, the listed memory part number is F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR. Could you please confirm the exact part number for your memory?
According to G.Skill's FAQ, the different suffixes may represent variations in the memory series or specifications.

Thank you.
