4 SLOT DDR5

HELLO
I recently just made an update to my PC.

The specifications are as follows:
-ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO motherboard
-CYBERCORE II XPG 1300 power supply
-DDR5 CORSAIR VENGEANCE CMH32GX5M2E600C36 ram memory 2 packages of 32 GB (64 GB in total) 6000 mhz.
-I9 13900K

I was having problems with games, it kicked me out, it sent me a DIRECT X error and more things, which in the end wouldn't let me play.

Format, and update to Windows 11, update to the most recent BIOS that is published on the ASUS page.

Do not use XMP configurations or modifications to RAM.

At first it worked, but then the same errors started.

I was checking the forum, and I saw compatibility problems in slots 1 and 3 with DDR5 ram memories, because it was causing a lot of stability problems, in those slots, and also, using all of them.

I removed the memories in slot 1 and 3, and everything was solved.

Slots 2 and 4 are working at a frequency of 4800 MHz, with normal configuration, without xmp or surges.

When trying to install the 4 memories, the board sends error 55, which means there is no memory installed.

Here the claim is for Asus.

What's happening ?

You are paying for a high-end product (the motherboard) for which it is not up to date with new memories.

Or, it is simply a DDR5 error.

In my case, I have stopped my investment, not being able to use all the memories (64 GB)

I hope someone has some experience to share, or tell how they solved this issue.

Thank you.

Hi @shinoda2402

With regards to combining binned memory kits (XMP/EXPO)

Combining and mixing memory kits isn't supported by memory or motherboard vendors. If you combine memory kits, the overclocked settings in which the kit is validated for XMP/EXPO are no longer valid. Purchase a single kit validated for the density and frequency you are trying to run. This is because memory vendors bin and validate the memory kit in the density in which it is sold. Whether we combine a kit with the same part number, frequency, timings or voltage the advice remains the same.

If instability occurs at stock, remove the CPU and inspect the CPU pin pad for debris or damage. Remount the CPU and cooler and ensure for even and consistent mounting pressure. When the system is dropping channels, this is often due to improper CPU pin-pad contact.

Hello, @shinoda2402

As @Silent_Scone  mentioned, you can refer to the "purchasing and installation guide" on the official website support page > CPU/Memory Support > Memory / Device Support page, which states

Ensure that all memory modules are from the same validated memory kit. Do not mix DIMMs from different memory kits—even if they are the same brand and model (e.g., two DIMMs each from two different memory kits).
Mixing and matching DIMMs can result in a failure to boot and compatibility issues.

To ensure system stability, it's advisable to avoid mixing memory modules from different kits.
Additionally, based on the provided memory part number "CMH32GX5M2E600C36," it appears that it is not listed in the QVL for the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO.

We recommend using the memory modules listed in the QVL, as these have been verified by ASUS for compatibility with the motherboard.
Please find more details in [Motherboard] How to query (CPU/memory) QVL List?

Thank you.

Due to the ongoing regional holidays, my responses may be slightly delayed.
Thank you in advance for your patience 🙂

QVL should not be a limitation for compatibility.

ALL MODULES ARE THE SAME PART NUMBER.

I'm not combining memories.

The 4 ram memory modules simply do not work.

Hi @shinoda2402

Seems you didn't read my post, please read again. Whether we combine a kit with the same part number, frequency, timings or voltage the advice remains the same. Memory kits are binned in the density in which they are sold. No motherboard or memory vendors supports combining or mixing binned kits.

Mismatched Timings and Density:

    • Memory vendors bin kits at specific densities.

    • Combining kits for higher density invalidates programmed timings, leading to potential issues.

Troubleshooting Challenges:

    • If rated timings fail, tuning the system manually becomes necessary.

    • Manually tuning with combined or mixed kits requires a deep understanding of memory timings, posing challenges and technical considerations that are difficult to simplify if not experienced in memory overclocking.

Time-Consuming Tuning Process:

    • Tuning memory settings demands significant time, a systematic approach, and patience.

    • Lack of knowledge of memory timings complicates the tuning process.

Recommendation for Simplicity:

    • Purchase a single, compatible memory kit which is one to three frequency bins below the maximum validated speed on the QVL for a smoother experience.

The memory kits purchased are the same, the same brand, the same part number.

I'm not combining, mixing, or inventing, I just want my four slots to work, at least as often as the MOBO wants. (MAXIMUS Z790 HERO)

Here the point is simple, I have not moved any settings anywhere in the BIOS, I just want to use my 4 slots.

As I repeat, when I put the 4 slots, it does not send me (code 55).

Only slot 3 and 4 work.

So I don't understand, how come I can't explain myself.

As already posted,

If instability occurs at stock (no EXPO), remove the CPU and inspect the CPU pin pad for debris or damage. Remount the CPU and cooler and ensure even and consistent mounting pressure. When the system is dropping channels, this is often due to improper CPU pin-pad contact

Beyond this, consult the motherboard QVL. You are combining kits that have not been validated by the motherboard vendor, and I have already posted twice that it holds no relevance that they are the same part number - so try not to get stuck on that train of thought any longer.
