I have an xg32uq monitor and the drivers include an ICC that, according to Asus ( https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1018735/ ) we should add as general display profile, but without specifying whether it is for SDR or HDR or which monitors setting to use.
I use the sRGB mode, which is factory pre-calibrated.
When I install the drivers, Windows says that it is an HDR ICC, maybe because its wcg but it does not apply it automatically and Windows 11 24H2 is not to be trusted.
So can anyone help me?
Is this a common ICC for windows to correctly interpret the correct colors on the monitor? Regardless of the mode in use?
And yes, the use or not of ICC even on sRGB mode makes a lot of difference on the intensity of the primary colors, and changes the gamma a little, but I don't know if it is for the better or not.
