ROG Swift OLED PG48UQ HDR Still Broken - 2 Years, No Fix from ASUS

Just wanted to raise (again) the HDR issue with the ROG Swift OLED PG48UQ (V029 firmware) - it’s been two years, and ASUS still hasn’t fixed the washed-out HDR problem. We’re talking dull, muted visuals on a premium monitor, and ASUS has known about this since release. Despite countless complaints, there’s been no firmware update or real response.

I think at this point it's pretty clear that they have no interest in actually addressing this issue or even just pulling the faulty firmware. At least v28 mostly works. It's crazy that they leave a defective firmware up. Thread after thread after thread on this issue. I had some hope in my last thread on this topic: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-monitors/keeping-the-threads-on-the-terrible-v29-firmware-for-t... when ASUS FINALLY acknowledged the issue. That was back in May, with radio silence since.  Makes me think that it isn't a simple firmware fix and rather an actual problem with the monitor itself. At this point, ASUS should offer refunds for customers who purchased this "Premium" monitor hoping for a great 4K HDR experience as clearly the monitor doesn't deliver as advertised and they have no intention or perhaps even capability of fixing the issue.
