Hello,
I wanted to report that I've encountered the exact same symptoms as described in this previous thread: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-monitors/rog-swift-oled-pg27ucdm-broken/td-p/1075344
My ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM was purchased in May 2025 and has been mounted on a monitor arm since day one. It has never been moved from that position and worked perfectly until yesterday evening (December 14, 2025).
While playing Silent Hill 2, the screen suddenly went completely black. No image, no OSD, no signal detection. The power light behaves normally (it searches for a signal, reacts to joystick movement/button presses, and responds to PC restarts), but nothing appears on the screen.
I tried:
Swapping cables and ports
Connecting to different devices
Power cycling (including unplugging for extended periods)
Different power outlets
None of these resolved the issue.
The original poster in the linked thread didn't find a fix and ended up returning their unit, so I initiated an RMA last night. I've packed the panel and power cable in the original box (I don't have any other packaging) and will be shipping it to the ASUS repair center in Markham today (I'm in Ontario, Canada).
I'm posting this mainly to note that this failure mode, while not widespread, appears to still be occurring. I'll update this thread once ASUS provides a diagnosis and resolution.
Thanks.

Update, no update, but shipped back.
I guess this is good news, it says the repair has been completed but no other details, is this normal? I’d like to know what went wrong.
I’ll reply to the thread again once it arrives
EDIT: I asked an Asus agent for some more details and it turns out they replaced the main board.

Update.
Received the monitor a few minutes ago, unfortunately there are marks on the screen that won't come off.
I took photos of the display before I packed it and it was perfect. Really let down.

For anyone following along, I haven’t received any further communication from Asus. Within 10 minutes of opening my repaired product (over 2 weeks ago), I contacted chat support and was told that an escalation team member would reach out within 3–5 business days. I also posted here to keep my thread updated and privately messaged the requested information above, but I still haven’t heard anything. While I’m thankful to have a working monitor, I’m very disappointed that it was returned damaged after I sent it in perfect condition.
