ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM Random Signal Issue since few weeks

Hi guys

this thread is closed but I have exactly the problem :

Solved: ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM Random Signal Issue - Page 3 - Republic of Gamers Forum - 932237 (as...

Sometimes , after a while , the signal is completely weird like this :

Asus Oled 240hz PG27AQDM issue 5/01/2023. (youtube.com)

I have the monitor since one year and I have never ad the problem until few weeks ago.

I have RTX 4080 , monitor is configured with DP1.4 , 1440p,240hz,10 bits, latest Firmware MCM 107.

The problem doesn't occur often but sometimes (I ll say 3 o 4 times during a week)  and it can happen when I m playing or when I am on word/excel  on windows (so basically no big activity).

The only solution I found is too shutdown the monitor with the button and  turn back on , and it works again  (no need to unplug the power cable from the monitor like the previous thread for me).

If you have any ideas, thank you very much

Hi @Cyberfredxxx ,

Thank you very much for providing such detailed information.

Regarding the random signal issues with your PG27AQDM monitor, we recommend that you try the following solutions:

  • Reinstall Graphics Card Driver:
Completely uninstall the existing NVIDIA driver and reinstall the latest driver.
Try using the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) tool for a clean uninstall.
  • Check Monitor Connection:
Ensure that the DisplayPort cable is securely connected and try replacing it with a new one.
Check if the ports on the monitor and computer are clean and dust-free.
  • Adjust Monitor Settings:
Try restoring the monitor settings to the factory defaults.
Lower the refresh rate or resolution to see if the problem persists.
  • Update Windows System:
Ensure that your Windows system has the latest updates installed.
  • Check Other Devices:
Try connecting the monitor to another computer to rule out the possibility of a monitor problem.

Additional Suggestions:

  • Record the details of when the problem occurs: For example, what operations are being performed when the problem occurs, and whether there are any other abnormal phenomena.
  • Provide more information: If you can provide detailed information such as the monitor model, graphics card model, and Windows version, it will be more helpful for us to analyze the problem.

There could be multiple reasons for the random signal issues with the monitor, and it is necessary to check them one by one.

We recommend that you try the above steps and record the results of each step to better locate the problem.

Thank you.

Providing detailed device specifications (MB/CPU/GPU/PSU, etc.) and the respective driver versions, OS version, and BIOS version will help us analyze the issue more effectively.
