I recently bought an PG27AQN and when I shut off my computer the monitor keeps blinking orange and back logo led remains on. Any solution to solve this problem? I connected with display port to my 4090

In Power Savin mode i still don't have any option to enable a Deep Sleep mode.

Also you nearly cant setup anything in the Power Saving Mode. Every option expect brightness becomes gray out and the monitor doesn't look good anymore.

Hello, @nbgzdddha

Based on your previous message, you have confirmed that you have updated to the ULMB2 firmware version released on 2023/5/26.
Could you please record a video that includes the power setting set to power saving mode and demonstrate that the option for Deep Sleep Mode does not appear under OSD > System Setup?
If possible, please also record the scenario after shutting down the computer, showing the screen flashing LED indicator lights and a loud fan noise.

Thank you.

As the local holiday is ongoing, there may be further delays in responses.
We appreciate your patience in advance.

Damm now i need to record a video, make another trial and error steps...

sorry but i just wanted to report the bug, because the thread owner reported it too..  so i hoped that it could be forwared to the firmware team to actually patch it.

At this moment im not feeling like recording a video, editing it, posting it public here, when multiple users already reported this problem (even in this thread). That should be enough.

Hello, @nbgzdddha I apologize for the misunderstanding.
Due to the design of the PG27AQN, it differs slightly from other models that have the deep sleep mode.
After enabling power-saving mode, the fan will also turn off approximately 9 minutes after turning off the monitor's power, and it cannot be turned off while in standby mode, as this is necessary to ensure the operation and longevity of the G-Sync module.

Thank you.

I have exactly the same problem as well. I just got replacement pg27aqn and it has the same behaviour.

The only way I can get the monitor to go standby mode, is to enable HDR in windows. In SDR mode pg27aqn will never enter standby mode. I use my monitors 99% of the time in SDR mode, so this is very annoying.

I'm using the latest firmware (ULMB 2.0 Update) on my monitor and a Asus 4090 strix graphics card. I have tried multiple nvidia drivers and those make no difference.

Can confirm this. The monitor can enter full standby mode if you use HDR at least once in that power cycle, in Windows ou any game. After that when you shutdown the system, even in sdr, the rgb light turn off and the power led stop blinking.

Yes. The display goes into full standby mode when it has received an HDR signal at least once during the power cycle. Just a few seconds in HDR mode is enough for the screen to work as intended.

Can also confirm that the monitor behaves corretly when set into hdr once.

1. Activate HDR in Windows

2. Disable HDR in Windows

3. Turn PC off

4. Wait 5-10 Minutes like described in the manual and the light of the monitor goes from amber yellow (Searching for a signal) to just yellow and monitor fan goes off and finally goes into standby

5. Turning the pc on again and not enabling HDR again, you get the bug again (Not able to go completly into stanyb, fan stays on, yellow amber light all the time)

Yes. The monitor behaves exactly as you described. However  the amber light turns to solid insted of blinking when the monitor goes to standby mode. When you get the bug, the amber light keeps blinking indefinitely.

I hope Asus fix this quickly, it's a very easily reproduceable bug.
