I had just bought this monitor only to find out how flawed the hdr experience on it is due to the abhorrent software provided. How can it be that the last firmware update (v029) was released in november, which is 8 months ago btw, but I guess asus just likes taking their sweet time, and there hasn't been any fix since? Not to mention that v029 that only makes the situation worse hasn't been taken down. This is absolutely absurd, esspecialy since the 42 inch varient of the display has gotten a firmware update that sorted it out last year!
For any of the mods reading this, I would very much appreciate it if you could give us any updates on whether a solution is being worked on and if there's an eta.

Who can see how much?

Yep, it’s crazy how they charge more than 1500€ for a faulty product and it’s been YEARS for them to come up with a correct firmware. I suppose most people opted for 42’ version which is why they made a firmware update quicker while neglecting the 48’ bcuz it’s not as popular. I read in another forum post that one of the mods said that they are aware of the issue and are working for a fix but like you said they are sure taking their sweet time…

Now, after all this time, it seems strange to me that buyers do nothing.
Everything is clear with the manufacturer, he loses neither money nor reputation.
But what do users expect? New regrets and wishes for a good day?
At the very least, start leaving reviews and comments everywhere you can. Tell people that Asus monitors can not buy, they do not meet the stated characteristics.
Better yet, get together and file a class action lawsuit.
How long do we have to wait? It's been over six months!

Is ASUS going to reply to this post now that others have been locked? We're just a few months away from the broken v29 firmware being released for a year and still no fix or even a timeline for a fix? Crazy treatment for customers of what is supposed to be a high-end, $1,500 monitor. Sad.

For real on god no cap if this ends up not being solved I might just return the display.

Bring him back before it's too late.
Nobody's going to fix anything anymore.
