pg48uq HDR awful and ridiculous coil whine over DP

Mardoxx

Why is v29 firmware still broken? It's been over a year.

When I use DP I get really obnoxious coil whine, this is using the provided DP cable.

Source is ROG RTX4090OC-W

Dodging the firmware question again. Thread after thread after thread on this topic. Why not provide an actual update on the firmware fix that was promised here: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-monitors/keeping-the-threads-on-the-terrible-v29-firmware-for-t...

Either provide an actual update on a 1+ year old issue or admit that plans have been scrapped and you sold a product that doesn't function as advertised. So much for "high-end" product meaning top notch customer service.

Hi @Mardoxx @Nemesis_T-Type ,

We sincerely apologize for the wait.

The firmware version V031 for the PG48UQ is now officially released. This version optimizes the HDR EOTF curve to enhance HDR performance.
We recommend updating to the latest version and verifying its functionality afterward.

Thank you for your continued support!

Does this also fix auto-dimming or let us disable it?

When in HDR mode it will randomly switch between dark and bright, seemingly regardless of what content is on the screen.
