Hello,

I just purchased the pg32ucdp and I am having issues updating the firmware. It goes to a black screen a few seconds after it starts and doesn't come back. I tried holding buttons 2 and 4 after unplugging and plugging back in to reset the update. I try and the same thing happens. I can't find a work around any help would be great. I have it plugged in via HDMI 2.1 cord and the blue USB square to my PC.

Hi @dave142 ,

Thank you for contacting us. To better assist you with the issue of your monitor turning black after the update, we would like to confirm the following:

  1. Driver update: Have you updated to the latest version of the MCM103 driver? If not, please download and install it from our official website.
  2. Power indicator status:
  • Not lit:
Please ensure that the power cord is securely connected to the monitor and the power outlet.
Try pressing any button on the monitor to wake it up.
Please check if the power outlet is working properly by connecting other devices to it.
  • Amber:
Please ensure that your computer is powered on and the signal cable is securely connected between the monitor and the computer.
Carefully inspect the signal cable for any bent or damaged pins.
Try connecting the monitor to another working computer to rule out any issues with the monitor itself.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please provide the following information:

Monitor model: PG32UCDP
Graphics card model:
Operating system version:
If possible, please provide a video clip (MP4 format) demonstrating the display issue. This will help us visualize the problem more clearly.

Additionally, please try connecting the monitor to another device, such as a laptop or another computer, to see if it displays correctly.
Your detailed information will help us locate the problem more quickly.

Thank you.

Providing detailed device specifications (MB/CPU/GPU/PSU, etc.) and the respective driver versions, OS version, and BIOS version will help us analyze the issue more effectively.

I had a similar problem and the solution was to set all driver settings to default. Some setting caused the update to fail. Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver would certainly work too

Mine also went black but after 10-15mins it finally came back and was updated. Just give it some time and it should work.

Same here in my case.

But I solved it. I recommend you try checking all connections to ensure they're secure and that you're using the correct USB port for data transfer. If possible, attempt a factory reset before the update. I recently discovered https://oxessays.com/essay-writer and I couldn't be happier with the results! I had an essay due, and their platform was easy to navigate. The writer I worked with was prompt and understood my topic well. They delivered a well-structured and insightful essay that truly impressed my professor. I appreciated the quick turnaround and the quality of work. I will definitely be using their services for future assignments!
