PG32UCDP HELP

Varieti
Level 7
Received my new monitor today, suppose to be 4k 240hz but every time the monitor goes to sleep or the computer is turned off, when it turns back on 4/5 times it will say "no display port connected" resulting in me having to turn my computer off and on again until it connects or fiddle around with the monitor buttons until it catches the signal. Also, whenever this happens the monitor seems to go back to factory settings and wont let me select anything over 120hz. Not in windows display settings, not in nvidia control panel and not on the monitor itself. If I turn the whole system off and on, if I manage to get through the display port issue, sometimes I can change it to 240hz but then it reverts itself after the screen goes off again. VERY FRUSTRATING, I have been sitting trying to fix this for over three hours with no luck.

I have updated drivers and firmware of the monitor and GPU ect, 4080 connected with displayport 2.1

Can ANYONE help please!?

Hi @Varieti ,

We understand that you are experiencing issues with your display connection and refresh rate. To better assist you, we would like to gather some additional information:

Regarding the port connection issue:

  1. Try a different cable: We recommend trying a different display cable to see if the problem persists. Sometimes, a damaged or loose cable can cause display issues.
  2. Update display driver: Please ensure that your graphics card driver is updated to the latest version. You can download and install the latest driver from your graphics card manufacturer's official website.
  3. Auto KVM function: Have you enabled the Auto KVM function in your monitor's OSD menu? This function may affect the display output. Try enabling or disabling this function to see if the issue changes.

Regarding the inability to reach a 240Hz refresh rate:

  1. Resolution settings: Please ensure that the resolution you have selected is compatible with a 240Hz refresh rate. You can refer to the "Supported Operating Modes" section in your monitor's manual to see which resolutions support a 240Hz refresh rate. PG32UCDP_UM_English.pdf (asus.com)

Thank you.

Providing detailed device specifications (MB/CPU/GPU/PSU, etc.) and the respective driver versions, OS version, and BIOS version will help us analyze the issue more effectively.
