PG32UCDP brightness settings disabled when connected over HDMI

gazenwagen

The title speaks for itself.
When I connect my monitor to the RTX 4070 using a DisplayPort cable, I can adjust the brightness and contrast on the monitor. But if I use an HDMI cable, these settings are "greyed out," and I can't change anything. I have two monitors like this, and I need them to have the same brightness...

I updated the firmware on both monitors, but it didn't help.

When I switch from HDMI to DP, them back to HDMI, I have these settings available for some time (until the next reboot).

Please help me to find the cause of this.

Hi @gazenwagen ,

Thank you for your inquiry.

To better understand the display brightness and contrast setting-related issue you are experiencing, please provide us with the following information and perform the tests:

  1. Screenshot provision: Please provide a screenshot of the brightness and contrast setting options being disabled (grayed out) for our reference.
  2. Factory reset test: Have you tried restoring the display to factory settings? If not, please perform this operation first.
  3. Function setting confirmation: Have you enabled any special settings, such as HDR or ELMB? If so, please turn off these settings first and restore to the default state.
  4. Firmware version confirmation: What is the current firmware version of your display? Did this problem also occur in previous firmware versions?
  5. Cable test: Please try using different HDMI cables for testing to confirm whether it is a cable issue.

Please kindly confirm the above information for further analysis.

Thank you.
