I've been playing on my my new 4k pg32ucdm and 3 times the monitor goes black and windows restarts. i believe i was in HDR mode every time. I never had this happen before. I went back to my other asus monitor and no issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is XMP enabled?

Hi @Themi5636,
if I'm understanding this correctly, the system is random rebooting when playing games which is why the display is going blank. This is usually indicative of system instability rather than anything inherently wrong with the monitor.
What refresh rate and resolution were your old display? Perhaps either the additional framerate or higher resolution is instigating system instability?
1. Consider disabling XMP and / or any overclocking by clearing the CMOS.
2. Remove any applied GPU overclock.
3. Inspect Windows Event Viewer under System to see if any stop codes are logged prior to the system rebooting.

Yes the system restarts in the middle of a game. I believe the one time was a blue screen but it was so fast I barely read it. I think it was PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA. I am pretty sure it said that but it was really quick. There was a windows update prior to hooking up the new monitor. I also updated the nvidia drivers and the new monitor drivers. All i can say i used my old monitor for 3-4 hours after and no issues.
My other monitor is used for fps games. Asus 360hz 1080p monitor and I am used to getting a lot of frames. Im using a 13900k with asus 4090 strix.
I have no overclocking atm. I will inspect the event viewer and see what it says.

I turned off the ram xmp and i have not crashed yet. I played for 2 hours. I dont know if it is resolved yet but ill keep playing and see if it will crash.
I briefly looked at the event viewer and there were a lot of errors from crash.

XMP is overclocking. Can you post memory kit PN?
Set XMP II.
XMP/EXPO I - This is the validated board profile. Every time a board is validated with a particular memory kit, the memory vendor and ASUS use this profile to validate the kit for the QVL.
XMP/EXPO II - This is the default DIMM profile from the memory vendor and contains sub-timings stored within the SPD EEPROM of the memory module.
XMP/EXPO Tweaked - This is the fastest profile and contains various tuned sub-timings and memory parameters.

I will try xmp2.

Dealing with your PG32ucdm causing Windows to restart can be a real pain. One thing you might wanna check is your display settings. Sometimes, funky stuff like that can happen due to scaling or resolution issues. Another thing to try is updating your graphics drivers. A quick update can sometimes fix these kinds of quirky problems. As for the windows 11 key cheap, that's not directly related to your monitor issue, but if you're looking to upgrade, it might be worth considering. Just make sure you get it from a reputable source to avoid any issues. If you're still having trouble after trying these tips, it might be worth reaching out to the monitor manufacturer or checking out some online forums for more specific troubleshooting advice.
