In another thread I mentioned that using HDR/Dolby Vision options on this monitor's OSD regularly causes flickering on macOS. It's either the whole screen flickering for one or two seconds or a white box appearing in the upper right corner of the screen for a second.
(Apologies for the extremely bad quality. The only way for me to capture this was by filming the monitor for a while and then using a screenshot from that footage. Even here you can see the outline of the "white box" flicker a little.)
Furthermore, I now noticed that I don't even get a "Dolby Vision settings" option in the OSD when using macOS. It's greyed out even with Dolby Vision enabled. See screenshot below. This happens with both USB-C and HDMI connecting to my MacBook.
When I use this monitor with Windows and a DisplayPort connection, I don't have this problem. I can switch easily between the three Dolby Vision settings in the OSD and the Dolby Vision logo also appears every time on startup in Windows (It does not appear in macOS at all).
I am using an M2 (Pro) MacBook Pro with latest OS updates and I have also already updated the monitor to Firmware MCM105 (that's why Dolby Vision works on Windows).
So how can I use Dolby Vision with macOS? And how to stop that annoying flickering? Thanks in advance.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I have already tried resetting the monitor, but the results are the same unfortunately.

Hi @RexCW,
thank you for your reply. I checked the Apple Support site ("Play HDR video on Mac") and it seems you are half-right. MacOS does support Dolby Vision on Apple Silicon Macs, but not on external displays...
Quote from the article:
The built-in display and Apple Pro Display XDR support Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG. Dolby Vision and HLG are converted to HDR10 when viewed on other HDR10-compatible external displays..
Well, the joke is on me then. It never even occurred to me that there would be a difference between built-in and external displays with regard to Dolby Vision, since other Apple devices also support that format. Bummer 😞

Hi @Ishavet ,
we would like to understand your issue better. Are you referring to using the PG32UCDM on macOS, where the screen intermittently flickers when HDR format > Dolby Vision is enabled, and the Dolby Vision setting option is greyed out and unselectable?
If so, we would like to confirm the following:
Additionally, we will check with the relevant team to confirm if Dolby Vision is supported on macOS. Thank you.

Thank you for your response @Aureliannn_ROG!
Yes, you described the issue correctly.
1. From what I could observe, switching to HDR instead of Dolby Vision in the OSD does prevent the flickering on macOS. (However, I chose this monitor exactly for its Dolby Vision support, so I hope this can work normally.)
2. Yes, I tested both the USB-C and HDMI cables from ASUS that came with the monitor.
3. I only have a Windows Desktop PC, not a laptop, but on that computer Dolby Vision seems to work flawlessly, I have not encountered any flickering. (Although as mentioned before I am also using the Display Port connection here, not USB-C or HDMI, because this PC is my gaming rig.)
4. Yes, I have tried that but it did not resolve the flickering/Dolby Vision availability issues on macOS. I am on the latest macOS release Sequoia 15.1.1 on a M2 MacBook Pro.

I have the exact same issue where a white box flashes randomly in the top right corner of the screen while using dolby vision.
However, macOS currently doesn’t support dolby vision unfortunately. Only Apply TV and IpadOS support it
