PG32UCDM netflix subtitle white flicker. (VRR & GSYNC ISSUES)

rhms
Level 10

Hello,

I have again the issue with the PG32UCDM when using the Netflix app from MS store (UHD 4K)

Any show with subtitle will make the screen flicker white. (Full screen only 49Hz)

- Disabling G sync from the NVIDIA panel is the only solution that will resolve the issue on this matter.

Having to disable G sync every time just to watch something is unpractical for a this  QD-OLED flagship

I have tried to disable G sync specifically on the Netflix app or Edge via the NVIDIA panel but they are all grey out

(Monitor Technology : Greyed out)

This issue has come back with NVIDIA drivers :576.02

Description:

All Netflix video are affected. The monitor will stay at 240Hz and have no flicker on the Netflix app windowed mode or when having G-SYNC disable in the NVIDIA control panel.

When G-SYNC is ON and when the video goes full screen. The video will be able to stay at 240Hz only when the mouse is moving.

When using full screen and when the mouse stop moving the frame will get stuck at 49Hz. When the frame gets stuck at 49Hz white flickers will occurs when subtitle appears and the frame bounce from 49 to 240Hz while those subtitles appears.I do not have the same resources to communicate internally with NVIDIA like ASUS does.

I kindly ask again to help me resolve this issue.

When Netflix plays anything on full screen mode the frame will go from 240Hz to 49Hz and not move until the mouse move or windowed mode is selected.

49Hz when Netflix goes fullscreen

240Hz when moving mouse while fullscreen

after mouse settle

Netflix goes back to 49Hz

Thank you
