PG32UCDM - KVM Hub malfunctioning. USB signal loss and "USB device not recognized" errors in Windows

Bigglet
Level 8

Dear,

Since a few weeks my monitor is having issues with the built-in KVM switch. It seems to be slowly failing/breaking.

Problem:
USB Devices connected via the monitor's hub are not recognized / lose signal periodically. This is especially noticeable with the mouse, as it 'reconnects' quickly (I see it because everytime it happens Logitech G-hub shows a notification, which can vary from 10x per minute to once every few hours), but you lose mouse movement and/or a click while this happens.
Since it happens on both the gaming PC and laptop that are connected via different connections, it must be the KVM Hub that's malfunctioning. Initially I figured it might be the wireless receiver of the mouse, but as of today the keyboard also started malfunctioning (does not register button clicks or provide power to RGB lighting).

Info/Situation:
My monitor is on firmware MCM108 on Dolby Vision setting. On the OSD the following settings are being used under system setup/USB Setup:
Type-C Bandwidth: USB 3.2
KVM:
Auto KVM Detection: On
USB-C: KVM (USB-C)

I have connected a Corsair K70 Pro RGB Keyboard and a Logitech Superlight Pro mouse to the monitor's USB (KVM) Hub.
All the supplied ASUS cables were used (USB-C to USB-C, HDMI, DP) and have (mostly) functioned properly since I have had the monitor since its release (March 2024). Both via HDMI (USB-C) and via DP (USB-B)

What I've done:
* Directly plugged in mouse/keyboard to PC/laptop: No issues
* Power cycled monitor: Issue can go away for a bit but will come back
* Switched USB settings in monitor: Also seems to soft reset something, but same as power cycling: Issue comes back later

Questions:
* Are there known problems with the KVM Hub malfunctioning?
* Any more troubleshooting steps I can take?
* What solutions can ASUS provide?
