PG32UCDM: does panel clean work on standby?

asus_rog_user

The instruction manual says it only automatically cleans only when the monitor is powered off but it does not state if it can do it on standby.

However this FAQ https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-monitors/pg32ucdm-does-panel-clean-work-on-standby/m-p/1034810 says that the PG32ucdm's pixel cleaning should automatically work on standby.

Does it work on standby?

And how is it supposed to look?  When I switch my monitor off it flashes orange once, does that mean pixel cleaning is happening? Isn't it supposed to flash orange 5 times?

I have never seen the PG32ucdm flash orange multiple times during its standby mode, do I need to have the monitor in some specific setting to get it to automatically work i standby?

I've seen mine being in standby (yellow logo) and then starting to blink yellow a few times after a few minutes, so I assume it's doing the cleaning then.

Are you running a PC or mac?

I think I've found the problem I'll start a new thread the non automation seems to only affect mac works ok on PC from standby

Alright, I'm using Win11. This firmware definitely needs some more updates, still feels like a beta after months... rushed out to be one of the first in the market.
