PG32UCDM Console Mode HDR issue

My and other's PG32UCDM monitors have a clipping issue on PC when using the console HDR mode in Windows 11. Currently, the monitor clips at 450 nits in the Maximum Luminance window but it clips correctly in the Max Full Frame Luminance window. Is there a firmware update in the works for this or is this an RMA issue?

Just lower in-game brightness to 17-21 points (~120-130 nits) when using Console HDR + boost. It will be much better!
For now, I am struggling between two modes to play this game:
1. Console HDR without boost. In-game brightness: 60-67 points (260-300 nits). You will have nice punchy light sources. But overall, the game will not be as dark as it was intended. Raised grays and blacks

2. Console HDR + boost. In-game brightness: 17-21 points (~120-130 nits). You will have great contrast, punchy light sources BUT clipping with a flashlight when close to the object

I am a little bit disappointed that I need to trade smth all the time

So far I prefer Gaming HDR. In Horizon the Cinema HDR mode does preserve more details, but the clouds are looking washed out or are missing contrast.

Jump to 0:23 for example and look at the leafs of the sunflower.
Console HDR without boost is the best looking mode.
Console HDR with boost is horrible imo.
Cineme HDR and Gaming HDR are both good with Cinema HDR again having more details saved.

Another good example is the scene at 0:45.

All in all personally I would prefer Gaming HDR. Console HDR without boost is better in some specific scenarios but the overall brightness is too low for me, especially in scenes with a lot of snow, like the winterfox video.

This is a huge firmware update. As others have mentioned we have a lot of options and settings now and I wish this would have been the firmware right at the release, but nevertheless I am happy the way things work now 🙂

Every time we use Console + boost, we need to lower in-game brightness (paper white). And sometimes you can fix that horrible clipping. I still prefer Console + boost more then Gaming HDR, because with Gaming or Cinema you lose contrast

It is an amazing uppdate!...

Finaly the pg32ucdm its somehow "finished" 🙂

Only thing i whish in a future update is moore settings in hdr, like white balance etc.

But otherwise i love it!

Well, I am not, but what do I know? For me, SDR still looks better.

If you switch to Gaming HDR mode, you'll see that the Dynamic Brightness Boost option is unavailable.
