My and other's PG32UCDM monitors have a clipping issue on PC when using the console HDR mode in Windows 11. Currently, the monitor clips at 450 nits in the Maximum Luminance window but it clips correctly in the Max Full Frame Luminance window. Is there a firmware update in the works for this or is this an RMA issue?

However, I hope they will release the firmware that puts an end to the brightness problems in HDR in a few days, since it is past time now.
@Silent_Scone News? TY!
For DV, as far as I'm concerned I care little in the sense that I use OLED TV for movies, but I understand those who want it here too of course.

Hello!
I saw that the update now seems to be planned for July, according to Aureliannn_ROG on another thread.
On paper, it's not really about the same thing, but since Silent_Scone said that everything would be fixed with the Dolby Vision update, I think this concerns us too.

A little more patience, but I think we're getting close!

With all due respect, the comments in theard "PG32UCDM Dolby Vision Firmware. Wnen?"" make me laugh, they make no sense, to say that it is misleading, or that it would take a fee, what is the point?
Today everything and I mean EVERYTHING, is constantly postponed by months or years(games on everything).
On the one hand, I'm fine with it being July, on the other hand July has yet to start, and it could be as late as July 31 for all I know, it's a nuisance, especially for HDR more than DV honestly.
I hope the firmware that completely fixes this problem comes out first, then if DV comes in the same month(July) that's fine, it's coming anyway.
I'm waiting for Silent_Scone to say something about whether or not it will be two separate firmwares, or they will wait and make one.

Not gonna lie by far one of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They reply whenever they feel like it. We are all guessing at this point. We don’t have a clue about anything. Never again buying an asus product.

This are great news! And sounds perefect!
Thats exactly what i whished for!
A option to boost the brightness up (like mcm104) for the people they want it, and a option to let the brightness be like mcm 103 (for people like me) sounds great!

So now in Console HDR mode, with Dynamic Brightness Boost, you reach the maximum nits? problem solved at least in this mode, correct?
Thank you very much!

Does 103 mcm not reaching maximum brightness even at 2% window? I don’t have special tools to measure it unfortunately.

Sounds very promising about HDR brightness feature. I hope it will work fine, I am only afraid that it’s “dynamic”- so it means it’s not HGIG like, and how it will work with in-game HDR settings. But overall to have the ability to switch between 103 like brightness and 104 is good. As for example when I play Alan Wake at night the 104 looks a little bit too much - especially a flashlight that just blinds me when I point it on a white wall. In the same time I really need more brightness when I play during the day, as my room is not isolated from daylight - in this case 103 looks too dim.
We wait, we test, we give feedback)
