PG32UCDM Console Mode HDR issue

FallenDeity

My and other's PG32UCDM monitors have a clipping issue on PC when using the console HDR mode in Windows 11. Currently, the monitor clips at 450 nits in the Maximum Luminance window but it clips correctly in the Max Full Frame Luminance window. Is there a firmware update in the works for this or is this an RMA issue?

How do you go back cause I’m on the beta as well and would like to do the same thing you did?

Not sure why anyone been staying on 104 Beta anyway that shid was trash
So yeah im upgrading from 103, I rolled back like 15mins after testing 104 lol

So, you have only used 104 beta for 15 min and are saying it was trash? Sorry, but it doesn't sound objective. I am not saying it was perfect either

Intel i7-13700K / Kingston DDR5 32GB 6000Mhz / ASUS TUF Z790 / PALIT RTX 4090

How would I need longer than 10-15 mins to figure out its bad, it was clipping every highlight past 450 nits which is useless.

FYI for the people wondering about that date on the website: The .exe is from the 26th

Okay so ehh yeah.. Dynamic brightness boost is just the same issues again...

Clipping past 450 nits with it enabled.

I guess I'll just keep coping

Could you explain how and where you see it? To figure it out myself, using Windows HDR Calibration by any chance?

If yes, in which of the 3 calibration screens should it be 1000?

Thank you very much!

Hey, so I tried the Windows HDR calibration for you. With the brightness boost off I can go to 1040/1050 nits.

at 1040 nits I can see the cross / Boxes. Clipping at 1050

I know its pretty hard to see I guess. Excuse the dirty screen lmao

With the brightness boost enabled, both clip at 450.

Confirmed, I selected HDR10, disabled Dynamic Brightness Boost, and now in Windows HDR Calibration I get to 1060 nits to make the squares disappear.

So solved!!! Or am I missing something?

I think so? I'm getting the same thing with console HDR, disabled dynamic boost and clipping at 1060 also. Going to test HZD Forbidden West and some other titles.
