My and other's PG32UCDM monitors have a clipping issue on PC when using the console HDR mode in Windows 11. Currently, the monitor clips at 450 nits in the Maximum Luminance window but it clips correctly in the Max Full Frame Luminance window. Is there a firmware update in the works for this or is this an RMA issue?

then you can cancel your order now, before you get it next week... i can guarantee you, that there will be no firmware update that changes the ABL until next week. First they should release the Firmware for the EDID correction, and the KVM switch.

The MCM302 firmware is available for download.

However, it obviously does not solve the problem of HDR being too dark.
What would be ideal is for an official from Asus to come and confirm to us that Asus continues to work on resolving this issue.

So there is absolutly no need to install this firmware? It fixes nothing that i need and that is more brightness in Console HDR.

I can confirm that on the release 102 that Auto KVM still doesn't work correctly (toggling HDR swaps it to USB-B when I'm using USB-C). I also found that after updating the firmware to 102 and resetting all settings, it defaults to Gaming HDR instead of Console HDR.

Hi all,
thank you for bringing up the issue regarding the difference in brightness under different HDR modes.
We understand that this is caused by the panel's APL mechanism.
Our engineering team has been made aware of this and is actively researching the issue to find a solution to minimize the brightness difference under different HDR modes.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.

I truely hope the engineers at ASUS make a valiant attempt to improve HDR in "Gaming" and "Console" modes. The APL completely diminishes how bright the display is, and makes everything look dark. I know the overall strength of APL can be ajusted via firmware. It should NOT be that hard of a fix. I've seen other panels get significantly brighter overall after a much needed firmware update.
All we want is a VIVID - BRIGHT - DISPLAY- IN - HDR.
Afterall, thats what we spent $1,300 PLUS to receive. As you can see by the ammount of replies and people actively discussing the topic, people are unhappy with your product @Aureliannn_ROG because there is a level of expectation to be met with charging SOOO MUCH MONEY for a product. Afterall, if Samsung and LG can create amazing televisions that utilize HDR correctly, so can ASUS. I have faith!

You guys released 2 firmware versions, could we get a definitive answer as to the their differences?

Thank you for the statement @Aureliannn_ROG.
Also my thanks to the NL customer support team, that after some email exchanges requested a phone call with me to further clarify the issue yesterday.
Here's to hoping the engineering team can address the issue quickly, but most important properly and thoroughly.
@Jabao18 Check your OSD menu - System Settings - Information - FW Version - and download the corresponding one.
I had to follow the "Rollback Mechanism" steps described in the pdf file in order to update from the beta firmware version.

I understand about checking the version in OSD but still the question still applies 2 versions where released. What is the reason behind that? Clarification is crucial at this point considering some peoples ports have been killed during these updates.
