PG32UCDM Bug: Pixel Cleaning occurs every time screen goes to standby (even if recently "Cleaned")

I want to tag @Vertic since he brought this up in a now-closed post last year with firmware MCM105 (I am now on latest 108).

I have Windows 10 turn off my screen after 15mins of inactivity. Last night during normal use, coming and going, my monitor carried out a "Pixel Clean" at 19:00h then at 19:35, 22:04, 23:18 and 00:12.

This can't be right.

As Vertic pointed out, the worry is that this is not good for the screen. But it also makes a mockery of the "4/8 hour reminders".

How often SHOULD pixel clean take place to optimally look after the screen?

I would also point out that when you actually switch off the monitor at the end of the day (Power off - no light) the Cleaning sometimes takes place and sometimes doesn't (same number of "Cleans" in the OSD display as the night before). I can't work out why this happens either. But the other bug seems much more serious tbh.

It's normal for the monitor to run a pixel clean when going into standby mode or off, but you're right there should probably be a distinction between Windows power saving and the monitor being in standby when the PC is off.

However, this is an easy fix. Instead of telling Windows to turn off your screen after 15 minutes of activity, set up the classic Windows screensaver to go blank after 15 minutes, you're still turning off the pixels to protect the screen and prevent burn in on your PC, it has the exact same effect as turning off the screen with the added benefit of resuming much quicker.
