So i am having this issue since the day i bought the monitor.
At first it was happening during a certain game, the callisto protocol.
Now it is happening also in Destiny 2.
As i am playing these games with HDR on,after some time the screen goes black and i have to manually turn the monitor off and on again in order for the image to appear again.
I had at the beggining the factory firmware, after i updated to MCM102 and now i have the 103.
This issue seems to be consistent on all firmwares.
I know it is not related to my windows setup because on the same pc with a different monitor this does not happen.
I have my pg32ucdm connected via dp.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

Additionally since MCM108, my monitor would sometimes go to sleep, and then it doesn't wake up until I remove power cord\re-add power cord.. this is really ridiculous. I

I did a bunch of testing and my issue seems to be resolved. The two things I did was remove the USB-B to USB cable from the monitor going to the PC so the monitor is no longer an USB hub and I turned off auto HDR in Windows 11 and turned on RTX HDR in Nvidia APP.

Every time I leave the monitor for deep sleep, when I come back to it, it doesn't wake up anymore @asus this is since mcm108.. sleep issues of monitor and not waking up, please provide a fix.

Here's a workaround for you.
Disable the monitor going to sleep and Instead enable the Windows black screen saver.
You get all the main benefits of sleep mode, except it will wake up when you come back to it and it will resume from 'sleep' quicker anyway.
Asus still needs to work on a fix of course but this should solve your problem.

Hello @markob53 , could you please tell me where you disable the monitor going to sleep? Are you doing it through the DisplayWidget app? And I take it enabling the Windows black screen saver is just in the regular old Windows display screensaver settings? Thank you 😃

When you said the monitor going to sleep i assumed you meant the setting in Windows to put the monitor to sleep, unless the monitor has it's own sleep mode i'm not aware of?
To turn off the monitor going to sleep in Windows you go into power options in Control Panel and edit whichever plan you have selected then tell it not to go to sleep.
Yes the screensaver is just the regular old Windows Screen Saver, if you set it to blank it will still turn off the pixels but will resume much quicker and not get stuck.

I was referring to the first part of what you said below in bold, I wasn't sure what program you were using to do that (such as the DisplayWidget that you download for the monitor). I know there is a setting in DisplayWidget that dims the PG32UCDM monitor when it doesn't detect anything, just wasn't sure if you are changing that setting to off or leaving it on. But I understand what you are saying now, looks like what you said below is all done through the windows control panel. Sorry for the confusion.

I have been playing mostly warzone and for hours no black screens. I can try to replicate this with cyberpunk, can someone let me know if they have had issues there? Also please let me know the following: Latest updated windows and Nvidia drivers. 4090 13900KS. I am using DP with VRR / GSYNC off HDR on in windows and games. I have a two monitor set up, the second is running at 175hz also DP. I am using all the USB slots in the monitor. Proximity sensor greyed out (because of HDR maybe?) I have not updated to the latest im still on 105. Please replicate my settings as much as possible and let me know if you have black screens with cyberpunk. let me know if this happens right away or over hours etc. Also let me know if you have max settings in game or not, its important what type of average fps you are getting it could be the culprit with the VRR hardware.
