PG32UCDM black screen during game sessions!!

So i am having this issue since the day i bought the monitor.

At first it was happening during a certain game, the callisto protocol.

Now it is happening also in Destiny 2.

As i am playing these games with HDR on,after some time the screen goes black and i have to manually turn the monitor off and on again in order for the image to appear again.

I had at the beggining the factory firmware, after i updated to MCM102 and now i have the 103.

This issue seems to be consistent on all firmwares.

I know it is not related to my windows setup because on the same pc with a different monitor this does not happen.

I have my pg32ucdm connected via dp.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

I'm also on 105S. Do you know how to extract the data so I can send it to Asus? The instructions I got only said how to do the firmware update.

If you read the sop it says to take a photo and that is what you have to send.

Just a photo of that window pop up with the numbers.

same issue here, thought it was fixed with 105 firmware, but it came back..

I am testing now if running Display Widget center does fix it, I have seen it less when I am running it.. will keep you posted.

But so many people having this issue, means something...

2 hour game session, no issues whatsoever.. please try having the display widget center running and see if that fixes it?

Same thing here.

I just received mine, fresh out of the box, connected with DP. Every couple of minutes it goes black for a few seconds and then returns. In-game and on desktop. Running MCM103 but I read updating will not solve it. This sux that there is no solution yet because that is pretty annoying.

I would recommend upgrading to 105 firmware, as that gives you the Dolby Vision option, also I had less issues with that one.

Can you try running the Asus display widget center, you can find it here: LINK

and see what happens?

groetjes en succes!

I upgraded to 105, finished succesfully (seems like i was lucky). Past 45 mins of gameplay and desktop use since the upgrade no blackout anymore...yet.... But I am not going to celebrate, since others say it didnt solve the issue. Will try something with that widget center (don't even know what it is yet) if it goes black again, and let you know of course.

Groeten!

great job, the tool i refer too is handy as it can configure your monitor from your desktop, less need for the on-screen display button. You can also tweak windows for Oled, like dark colors etc.

It is adviced from Asus to use.. so far today since I run it, no issues whatsoever.. Hope more people find this a good workaround..

Hey there,

Can you tell me what to do with that Widget? Just install it? Do I need to make any config changes using it?

Thanks!

Hey,

I just have it nstalled and run it, on reboot you need to manually start it again. You can configure some settings of your monitor with it, but not sure if that has something to do with it, I just launch it and leave it running in the background, it will minimize to the windows bar. In the software I have screen saver set to off.

Have a look around in the app, it allows you to customize some nice things. However if you set it to HDR things like GameVisual cannot be changed, but this is the same as in the On Screen Menu.

Just have it running and share the feedback please.
