So i am having this issue since the day i bought the monitor.
At first it was happening during a certain game, the callisto protocol.
Now it is happening also in Destiny 2.
As i am playing these games with HDR on,after some time the screen goes black and i have to manually turn the monitor off and on again in order for the image to appear again.
I had at the beggining the factory firmware, after i updated to MCM102 and now i have the 103.
This issue seems to be consistent on all firmwares.
I know it is not related to my windows setup because on the same pc with a different monitor this does not happen.
I have my pg32ucdm connected via dp.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

You have to make up your mind, are you experiencing BSOD's or black screens?
What is it?
Also it is always better to do a clean installation from a usb media and not reset from windows recovery.

lol.....It is NOT a Windows OS Blue Screen of Death! The problem is with ONLY the PG32UCDM randomly going all Black Screen with audio still running while gaming. Now the forum and Asus will have it documented that 2 separate computers with a combination of 13900H(4070 Mobile/4090 XG Mobile, 14900K, and 2 different 4090 FE) with a fresh Windows Install is NOT the problem with the PG32UCDM.
It was done from the cloud.

For trouble shooting purposes I will do fresh installs on my z13 acronym and desktop PC. I'm absolutely sure that these two separate systems don't have the exact same problem with the monitor shutting down because of the OS install. But we'll find out shortly nonetheless.....

Almost there. I'm downloading all the drivers and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Integrade. Instead of using my 4090 Founders Edition, I'll use my son's. Then after I have everything up and ready, I will do the exact same thing on the Acronym.

Lol.... I thought you guys new BSOD meant Black Screen of Death pertaining to the PG32UCDM not Windows OS BlueSOD. I NEVER get BlueSOD. Oh well. I kind of wanted to do a fresh install on both machines. I'm actually almost done. I need Asus to fix the Black Screen problem on the PG32UCDM before I go from 4090 FE to 5090 and to 9950x3D. Now Asus has record that a fresh install has been done.

Hi @skygunner ,
Regarding your previous mention of an RMA request but being asked to cover the shipping costs, we would like to confirm if you still wish to send your monitor for repair. Could you provide the correspondence where the representative indicated that the shipping costs would be covered?
If you currently prefer not to send it for repair, we would like to gather more information regarding the intermittent black screen issue you mentioned:
We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Thank you.

Hi I appreciate the follow-up. Previously I sent a detailed dm with all of the information requested.
At this time I don't believe it is a hardware problem. I believe it is software. So at the moment, I would rather troubleshoot with Asus before sending fragile Hardware from Alaska to the lower 48.
1. It may be too soon to tell. I played Final Fantasy 7 Remake Integrade for three and a half hours after the fresh install today and have not been able to reproduce the black screen problem. ....yet.
2. The black screen lasts longer than 10 minutes. While this black screen happens, the on-screen display becomes completely unstable and unresponsive. Also the audio remains unscathed. The only way to recover, is to physically hold the power button or power cycle the display by unplugging the AC adapter. I've noticed that this error happens when the game switches from one scene to the next.
3. For my PG32UCDM it ONLY happens in game(Final Fantasy 7 RI on Steam). I play a lot of Overwatch 2. I cannot replicate this error outside of Final Fantasy 7 RI.
4. I can try to disable those things, the only problem with that, is that those are some of the main features I bought the monitor for in the first place. It's extremely important that DSC and VRR are fully functioning and enabled.
5. Right now I am waiting for my daughter outside of cheer/tumbling practice. When I get home I will provide all that you have requested.
I appreciate your and Asus's help with troubleshooting the PG32UCDM's black screen problem.
