So i am having this issue since the day i bought the monitor.
At first it was happening during a certain game, the callisto protocol.
Now it is happening also in Destiny 2.
As i am playing these games with HDR on,after some time the screen goes black and i have to manually turn the monitor off and on again in order for the image to appear again.
I had at the beggining the factory firmware, after i updated to MCM102 and now i have the 103.
This issue seems to be consistent on all firmwares.
I know it is not related to my windows setup because on the same pc with a different monitor this does not happen.
I have my pg32ucdm connected via dp.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

My scenario was random black screen mostly in W11, that didn't happen setting RR to 120Hz (only in windows).
Now I switched my 4090 to a 5090 and since then (only 4-5h use) i didn't have any (maximun settings on OS and games). I know it's too soon. But sound promising and I wanted to share.

I assume you took the power of your system, whenever I do that, back screens are gone for a few days (for me).

Yea, me too.
After 3-4 days it's back.
I bought a Asus PG32UCDP and gonna see if the issue is still occurring.

I have a PG32UCDP with the same issue. Please let us know if you get this issus. Mine was fine for 2 weeks than now it happens a few times a day where it goes black for 3-4 seconds and then recovers by iteself. No other monitors go black

PG32UCDP here and I can't tell when the last I got a black screen but I landed here in November in panic because I had just received it and after a few days it happened and 3 times in a row once. I can't tell wht it has stopped, I use latest firmware of course but what else? No idea. Crossing figers it's gone forever, I mean it's a superb monitor.

Same issue. Problem occurs when I close a game that is not in the same resolution as the Desktop is. Desktop res is 4k but some games I run in WQHD and the problem occurs for instance when the monitor has to change the resolution. An example:
After a match of League of Legens in WQHD the swap to the normal clientand Desktop casues a short freeze into blackscreen. Every fith or sith time. This is super annoying and getting out of hand recently.
I am using the offical cable, having the newest BIOS update etc etc. Fot this kind of "premium" product this monitor is a joke.

That's not a blackscreen issues that's because you play in 1440p for some reason instead of 4k and the monitor swtiches back from 1440p to 4k and the screen turns black for a second.

Hey Crayten,
unfortuantely not. the screen stays black indefinetly. Only a hard reset helps. I cant even turn of the monitor properly or put it back on.

I'd like to thank everyone for posting about this topic. I was about to pull the trigger on the PG32UCDM as its one of the only models out that has dolby vision. Given that so many people are having issues with black screens DURING gaming is a deal breaker for me. Unfortunately it looks like I'm back to researching which brand to buy. I'll be watching some content on the panel outside of gaming, so Dolby Vision is a key feature. So far it looks the AW3225QF might be my only option even tho i'm not too keen on the curved panel. A curved panel is still much better than a black screen :(.
I'm also reading in comments where Asus was attempting to send IPS panels as replacements for those with warranty cases? I hope i'm misreading that... I've been buying Asus for years and even recommending to friends, this is the first I've heard of this practice, if true.

Ya im waiting to see whats gonna come out later in the year or next year honestly. Although, id like someone who is having issues with this monitor and has an Nvidia 4000 series, to try it out with the older drivers no higher than 566.36 because alot of people are saying the drivers higher than these all have issues with the 4000 series cards and alot of monitors...
