PG32UCDM black screen during game sessions!!

So i am having this issue since the day i bought the monitor.

At first it was happening during a certain game, the callisto protocol.

Now it is happening also in Destiny 2.

As i am playing these games with HDR on,after some time the screen goes black and i have to manually turn the monitor off and on again in order for the image to appear again.

I had at the beggining the factory firmware, after i updated to MCM102 and now i have the 103.

This issue seems to be consistent on all firmwares.

I know it is not related to my windows setup because on the same pc with a different monitor this does not happen.

I have my pg32ucdm connected via dp.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

Sadly, the only solution which is left, seems to be to RMA the monitor, which I finally decided to do. I recently bought some refurbished 34 Alienware AW3423DW for a good price and while this is "only" 175hz and lacks some features the UCDM has, I'm more than happy atm. I wrote it many times too, the 240hz mode (DSC) seems to be faulty on this model and obviously on similiar panels of other companies as well. I'm now looking forward to the RMA process of my seller.

Bug fixed:
1,Fixed Aura RGB abnormal issue: When the HUB is set to OFF during standby and the system powers back on after entering power-saving mode, the AURA RGB does not restore.
2,Fixed when the G-SYNC signal causes intermittent black screen flickering.
3,Adjust the OLED Care behavior .
4,Update multilingual support: Implement multilingual translations for OLED Care sub-items and correct the Pixel Clean Interval translations.
5,Update and enhance the full PBP (Picture-by-Picture) functionality.

There is hope that it comes to our UCDP and UCDM!

Just tried it out - better but still happens 1-2 times per PUBG game. Not at all during Black Myth.

That’s interesting. I also notice this happening more on my UCDP when playing PUBG specifically. I’m using HDMI 2.1, vrr off in Nvidia and monitor, and proximity sensor off.

But this above is a G-SYNC issue fix, which can be already solved with higher lower hz setup in CRU.. The problem with UCDM is not with G-SYNC, it happens to me and others without it or VRR or Proximity enabled. IT's a DSC OCP problem..

I have DSC enabled and I don't get black screens. In my case, VRR being on in the OS settings was causing mine. Monitor has been rock solid for several months now.

Anyone tried to RMA the display ? After getting fed up with all the issues, I contacted asus support and they suggested sending the monitor in for RMA procedure.

Is it worth trying ? Do you think asus will acknowledge the issues ? I just dont want to be without the monitor for a few weeks and then just get it back with nothing being done.

I decided to RMA over my seller. Luckily I have some 34 Alienware OLED and I'm now waiting for the whole Process. For me it was the only option left after Asus did nothing so far to solve the issue.
