So i am having this issue since the day i bought the monitor.
At first it was happening during a certain game, the callisto protocol.
Now it is happening also in Destiny 2.
As i am playing these games with HDR on,after some time the screen goes black and i have to manually turn the monitor off and on again in order for the image to appear again.
I had at the beggining the factory firmware, after i updated to MCM102 and now i have the 103.
This issue seems to be consistent on all firmwares.
I know it is not related to my windows setup because on the same pc with a different monitor this does not happen.
I have my pg32ucdm connected via dp.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

Why did you downgrade your firmware? You had a newer firmware that isn't even available yet on their site.

Mine also had a different firmware number but I don't remember what and I simply updated it. Many times when you want to use an older firmware over a newer one it won't let you go or gives you a warning.

If you look at the bios & firmware for my particular make and model. Which I stated in the post I have the pg32ucdp and that is the latest one thats available, unless I'm looking at something different.

If you had 105 and then flashed 103, you downgraded. Typically the larger number indicates a newer firmware and I did look at the PG32UCDP website before posting.

Great. I don't see 105 available for my model either.

Its 103 for sure. I don't know why it's like that for this particular model.

I have the PG32UCDP and after the 24H2 update I'm constantly getting these blackouts which last a few seconds. Also happened once on Macbook during the day using the USB-C. I had these when I first got the monitor but it went away after fiddling with cables.

Sorry for necroing this post. I just purchased this monitor, and I'm on firmware MCM106, and I too am experiencing black screens while gaming, and while watching shows. Have you found a fix, or did you return the monitor?

The MCM106 is out for a couple of month already. BUT only pre-installed on new units. I gues they changed something and it's only on a newer revision!? and this is maybe the reason, why it's still not out for everyone on their website. But there are conflicting reports if this firmware finally fixed the blackscreen issue. It's sad or lets better say outrageous that Asus is not answering to this and corresponding threads anymore for month. Afaik there is no working fix other than disabling the DSC support on the unit, but of course that's a TRUE dealbreaker, because you disable on of a major features 240hz down to just 120hz. Pretty obvious that nobody can be happy with this kind of "pricey" workaround.
