So i am having this issue since the day i bought the monitor.
At first it was happening during a certain game, the callisto protocol.
Now it is happening also in Destiny 2.
As i am playing these games with HDR on,after some time the screen goes black and i have to manually turn the monitor off and on again in order for the image to appear again.
I had at the beggining the factory firmware, after i updated to MCM102 and now i have the 103.
This issue seems to be consistent on all firmwares.
I know it is not related to my windows setup because on the same pc with a different monitor this does not happen.
I have my pg32ucdm connected via dp.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

I had a chat with a guy on a forum who just bought the monitor and it came with MCM106 from the factory.
Why are we still on 105,does anybody have any info?

Hey folks,
Today, I returned the monitor to Microcenter (I had been using it since April) and exchanged it for a brand-new one (I mean the same 🤣 😅 ).
Now, I have a 30-day return period, which I think is enough time to see if the black screen issue reoccurs.
I really like the monitor and want to give it one more chance. If this one is also broken, I'll probably consider trying a Gigabyte.

They let you return a monitor that you bought in april? or you had purchased the microcenter extended accidental damage warranty?

Yeah, I had their extended warranty. Basically I’ve lost about $140. But in this particular case I do not regret.

Yeah I wouldn't regret purchasing anything with Microcenter's extended warranty as well. So did you have to get another purchase extended warranty with this replaced one? I'm thinking about giving it a try from there, my last one I had returned to Newegg already.

Assuming potential issues with this monitor, I've repurchased an extended warranty again.

Update: My monitor is working perfectly as is. Zero issue. It seems my monitor never had any issue to begin with. The proximity I switched to High set the the screen to black screen after I believe 5-10 minutes if it doesn't sense anyone sitting 2 feet in front of it. When it kicks in I can simply move around within 2 feet and the screen goes back online instantly.
I can confirm this feature turns off after I set Proximity to Off. Since sometimes i like to sit 3 feet further back and gaming with a gamepad more 50% of times.
I bought this monitor on Amazon and it came originally with Firmware 103 and I updated to 105. Excellent monitor so far.
