PG32UCDM black screen during game sessions!!

So i am having this issue since the day i bought the monitor.

At first it was happening during a certain game, the callisto protocol.

Now it is happening also in Destiny 2.

As i am playing these games with HDR on,after some time the screen goes black and i have to manually turn the monitor off and on again in order for the image to appear again.

I had at the beggining the factory firmware, after i updated to MCM102 and now i have the 103.

This issue seems to be consistent on all firmwares.

I know it is not related to my windows setup because on the same pc with a different monitor this does not happen.

I have my pg32ucdm connected via dp.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

Would appreciate the firmware as well. I've been experiencing intermittent black screens while on the Windows desktop and have been unable to find a solution.

you need to send a dm to:  Aurelian

Since I got the log firmware and I followed to procedure to reset my screen during the upgrade process, I have NOT seen any black outs anymore, that is for 2 weeks now.. tbh I only play 2/3 hours in the evening every other day.

Haven't had any black screens since I did a factory reset and I am on the regular 105 firmware.

Hey there!

Can you tell me if the VRR and Proximity sensor are turned on in your monitor?

Thanks a bunch!

The proximity sensor is on but VRR is off. I wasn't even aware VRR was off.

I have the 105log firmware and I have VRR on and HDR and only got 1 black screen and haven’t gotten one for weeks, but we all know it can happen anytime.

That is what happens to me also.

Last time i had black screen was more than one month ago.

Just wanted to add to this thread as I recently ran into the same issue myself. I’ve had the monitor now for 3 weeks, purchased from Newegg and updated the firmware to 105. Everything was flawless for the first 3 weeks up until several nights ago during a gaming session playing Battlefield 2042, the screen just turned all black. My 2nd monitor next to this one is still running and game is still running as can be heard through my headphones. I couldn’t bring up the OSD to change input or access menu even though the monitor is on. The only way I could get the image to come back was to turn off then turn on the motor again. Extremely disappointed that this issue is widespread and currently random without a proper fix. I have started the return process with Newegg since I don’t want to deal with RMA.

Is your Proximity setting turned off or off? if off its probably why it's not turning back on because the proximity if turned on it can sense motion in front of the monitor. I have it turn to high and when i move in front of it it will turn back on.
