PG32UCDM black screen during game sessions!!

So i am having this issue since the day i bought the monitor.

At first it was happening during a certain game,the callisto protocol.

Now it is happening also in Destiny 2.

As i am playing these games with HDR on,after some time the screen goes black and i have to manually turn the monitor off and on again in order for the image to appear again.

I had at the beggining the factory firmware,after i updated to MCM102 and now i have the 103.

This issue seems to be consistent on all firmwares.

I know it is not related to my windows setup because on the same pc with a different monitor this does not happen.

I have my pg32ucdm connected via dp.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

It's crap. Another lesson to not buy new too expensive socalled state of the art stuff. I am really glad I got rid of it quickly enough.

My monitor arrived at their RMA location on the 5th and I hope they find out what the issues are. My replacement so far haven't had any black screen, but I also haven't been playing Doom Eternal and Ninja Gaiden 2 a lot where the black screen happens more often. 

Edit - LOL I booted up Ninja Gaiden 2 in RTX HDR after reading this thread and after 30 mins I got a black screen. I turned off VRR while in black screen and it came back on. So yeah, replacement monitor did not fix it.

They provided you with a replacement unit? Any idea if it is a refurbished or brand new in box?

Brand new. I had to wait 3 weeks for them to get some in stock.

I'm still shocked that they haven't said a single thing about this widespread issue with a monitor of this price bracket. Shameful.

I did a factory reset and it appears to have fixed it at least for the time being. Before, I was getting lots of errors that the pixel cleansing failed and I wonder if it had something to do with that. Anyway, I fired up a game and played for a few hours and didn't have an incident. Whereas before, it would at least happen once.

Whatever happened to those that have received the message from Aureliann about the custom PG32UCDM105S+Log bios? I have received the message last August and have decided to test the bios today, but when I checked the shared google drive folder in the link they provided, all files are gone.

Is there still no fix to this? @aurelian

I would DM Aurelian to re-obtain the firmware and same happened to me, the files were empty. I got a black screen while using this firmware and per the SOP I sent a screenshot to Aurelian, but haven’t heard back. I honestly would be shocked if they address this.
