PG32UCDM black screen during game sessions!!

So i am having this issue since the day i bought the monitor.

At first it was happening during a certain game, the callisto protocol.

Now it is happening also in Destiny 2.

As i am playing these games with HDR on,after some time the screen goes black and i have to manually turn the monitor off and on again in order for the image to appear again.

I had at the beggining the factory firmware, after i updated to MCM102 and now i have the 103.

This issue seems to be consistent on all firmwares.

I know it is not related to my windows setup because on the same pc with a different monitor this does not happen.

I have my pg32ucdm connected via dp.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

Man, it is not related to DDC/CI turning on and off, perhaps only in your specific case, but not in general.

I have already mentioned this in this thread, and some other folks have done the same.

Once again: DDC/CI, VRR, and proximity sensor are turned off on my monitor.

I have got the same issue. With all firmware version. Today actually it was pretty bad. I don't know why. Maybe it happend when the monitor is getting hot?  During the hot temperature here in Germany I have got 25 Celsius in my room.

It's also not only during gaming. Even when I'm on YouTube or when I'm working with word.

I have found someone who fixed it with a firmware rollback.

What I figured out that I got the problem only on my brand new Dell Latitude notebook during work season. Some days it happens 20 times. Just few seconds. After maybe 10 seconds the picture is back. On my new Gaming PC it only happened few times in the Bios.

Today I have enountered the same issue. Has never happened before and I'm on firmware MCM105. Previous firmware versions have not enountered it. Happened while playing destiny 2. Happened twice in 10 minutes. Exactly the same as the other people have experienced in the past meaning:
Screen goes completely black
Can still hear game audio
Monitor menu does not display when pressing the buttons but they are registering but just not visible.
Press right button twice to shut down monitor then reboot and it works again.

I'm on pc. specs:
I7 7700K
RTX 4080
32gb ram
playing 4k 240hz with vrr on
hdr disabled
HDMI 2.1 cable
Windows 10 with hdr disabled.

Like i said I have used the monitor with all the previous firmware versions. It has never happened. Now on MCM105 it has happened so it is not related to firmware versions because other people have had this issue many months before I have on different firmware versions. The videos sent in by other users who caught the issue, that is exactly how it is. The strange part is, why is the menu not showing ? why is nothing visible. Is the screen just completely off, but how can that be when the LED is on? Truly no idea what is causing this. This has te be fixed soon. Such a long time ago people experienced this and still no fix.

And the fun part is that the Asus team still cannot replicate it.

So many people have this exact issue, they know that Destiny 2 is one of those games that trigger it and still is a mystery to them!!

Yup, it's absolutely horrible. It's such a waste of 1400.00 after taxes. And then they recommended I send it in. We are all well aware of their shady practices when it comes to sending anything in.

Yeah, they suggested sending the monitor for service, but after reading a few threads about the quality of Asus service here in the US on Reddit, I don't think it's a good idea.

I don't believe that they can't reproduce the issue since people around the world are facing it; it's not something unique.

One more time—I only experience the issue when I'm not gaming, such as browsing or watching streaming services.
