So i am having this issue since the day i bought the monitor.
At first it was happening during a certain game, the callisto protocol.
Now it is happening also in Destiny 2.
As i am playing these games with HDR on,after some time the screen goes black and i have to manually turn the monitor off and on again in order for the image to appear again.
I had at the beggining the factory firmware, after i updated to MCM102 and now i have the 103.
This issue seems to be consistent on all firmwares.
I know it is not related to my windows setup because on the same pc with a different monitor this does not happen.
I have my pg32ucdm connected via dp.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

The same thing has been happening to me and experimented with different HDR options and HDR and non-HDR modes. What fixed it for me was disabling VRR. 2 days more than 4 hours in a row and the black screen didn't happen. The proximity sensor is of course set to off.

Have been using the monitor for a while now. I think its been just over a month and i enjoyed it.
I too am having the monitor randomly black screen and it doesnt come back. I have to turn off and on to get the monitor to come back.
Funny thing is, its happening to me in Destiny 2 as well ,while playing in HDR mode.
I use "Display True Black" HDR instead of the Peak 1000 mode.
Funny thing is tried both the given Asus DP cable as well as an Aftermarket DP 2.1 UHBR 20 certified cable.
I have not tested an HDMI cable.

Hi @Maxpain177 @mogaoscar ,
according to your response, may I please confirm if the issue still occurs when you disable DDC/CI?
You can refer to the detailed steps in my previous response or the link provided.
Additionally, since you mentioned that the issue occurs not only during gaming but also when watching YouTube videos, could you please provide the link to the video you were watching and the game you played that will occur the black screen issue?
Did the issue occur 2-3 seconds and will restore the image automatically? or you need to turn off and on the monitor to restore the image?
Furthermore, may I request the following information for us to investigate further?
Lastly, could you please confirm if the issue still occurs when you lower the refresh rate or disable HDR?
Thank you for your assistance. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us investigate this issue.

Same problem here. Using my PG32UCDM with NVIDIA 4090 (founders edition), HDMI 2.1. Windows 10 with HDR enabled. Last time I had the issue I was playing Halo Infinite.
Firmware: MCM103

Update: I have switched off the Windows 10 HDR mode, and haven't had the issue since. It's been only 2-3 days but would have typically had the issue by now. Not sure if it's related, will give it a week more or so and will post an update.
