PG32UCDM: after firmware update from 103 to MCM105 KVM auto input detection no longer works

365x247
Level 7

PG32UCDM updated with MCM105 firmware and KVM no longer autodetects between my UCB-C and displayport setups. This was working perfectly in 103 earlier, but now I have to manually switch the source everytime. In the menu "Auto Input Detection" is enabled and tried turning it on off. Any ideas?

Hi @365x247 ,

Video: I have to see if I have time for this, hopefully this description of the issues is of use to yuou

USB-C connection: When you use a USB-C connection, does the monitor fail to detect, or does it display any error messages or abnormal behavior? Please describe the issue in detail: it seems to be stuck on the previous manually selected input.

3. Frequency of the issue: Does the KVM issue occur every time, or is it intermittent? Same everytime

Setup:
On PG32UCDM I have MacBook pro and PC connected:
- usb-c macbook pro m3
- displayport + usb-b pc
- webcam + conference mic connected to the monitor kvm usb ports which are shared

PC has Gigabyte x570 aorus ultra with asus tuf 3090 gfx,
windows 11 23H2 22631.4169
Geforce 561.09 drivers (Sep 11, 2024)

Steps I tried with new and old firmware:

With MCM105 firmware:
1. Start MacBook, "DisplayPort" flashes on screen (PC was used before this)
2. Webcam+mic don't work (checking input select from menu: "DisplayPort" is selected)
3. Manually switch to "USB-C", devices start to work
4. Put MacBook to sleep, "USB-C NO SIGNAL" flashed on screen
5. Start PC, "USB-C" flashes on screen
6. Webcam+mic don't work (checking input select from menu: "USB-C" is selected)
7. Manually switch to "DisplayPort", devices start to work

I downgraded to MCM103 and did this same test - everything works like it should:
1. Start MacBook, "USB-C" flashes on screen,
2. webcam+mic are working (checking input select from menu: "usb-c" is selected)
2. Put MacBook to sleep, "USB-C NO SIGNAL" flashes on screen, screen goes dark
3. Start PC, "DISPLAYPORT" flashes on screen
4. webcam+mic are working as expected (checking input select from menu: "DisplayPort" is selected)
5. When putting PC to sleep, "DISPLAYPORT NO SIGNAL" flashes on screen, screen goes dark

Also tested, start PC first, sleep, then start MacBook - works fine.
