I got a PG27UCDM recently that I have connected to my RX 7900 XTX over DisplayPort and I'm unable to use Freesync Premium Pro. Both AMD Software and the monitor's OSD only show Adaptive Sync support with no mention of FreeSync Premium Pro over DisplayPort. It shows "AMD FreeSync HDR" as the current HDR mode when HDR is enabled and that seems to be the only part of FreeSync Premium Pro that's working. With my other monitor that has FreeSync Premium Pro, AMD Software shows "FreeSync Premium Pro" in place of the "Adaptive Sync Compatible" option shown with the PG27UCDM in this screenshot.
The "Adaptive Sync Compatible" option doesn't work very well either as I've found that according to the OSD, the monitor's refresh rate constantly jumps between close to 60hz to doubled or tripled it when playing games with a 60fps limit for example. When I try connecting the monitor via HDMI instead, the monitor's OSD says it supports FreeSync Premium Pro while hovering over the Variable Refresh Rate setting, but all that changes in AMD Software is that "Adaptive Sync Compatible" becomes "VRR". I've noticed that the monitor's OSD shows the same thing when connected to any other device over HDMI even the Switch 2 which doesn't support VRR, so I think this might be an issue with the monitor's firmware unrelated to my PC. If anyone else has had this issue before and can give me a solution to this, I would greatly appreciate it.
I've done all of the following troubleshooting steps, but nothing has worked

1. Try disabling the Scaling settings that you have on, that might be why you don't have the Freesync Premium Pro mode available.
2. Make sure Variable Refresh Rate is turned on in your monitor's Menu.
3. Try 25.3.1 / 25.4.1(this was optional iirc) and 25.5.1 drivers and see if this persists.
4. Try another display cable (preferably from the cables you receive with the monitor, for example one of the HDMIs since you probably have tried the Display Port already according to the screenshot you sent)
5. Not sure if DSC is needed, but might try to turn that on as well if its off for some reason.
Other things you can try is HDR on/off , other display modes Racing/FPS etc, cuz sometimes some modes are disabling some settings, for example HDR is disabling a ton of stuff (the variable refresh rate and the sync is not one of them, so just a random mention to make my point.
Hope this helps you resolve the issue.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried using HDMI and the variable refresh rate part of the monitor's OSD changed to show that it supports FreeSync Premium Pro, but all that changed in AMD Software was that "Adaptive Sync Compatible" became "VRR". I'm pretty confident that my DisplayPort cables aren't the issue though since I've tested multiple different ones including the one that the monitor came with and the one that's connected to my other monitor where FreeSync Premium Pro works.
I've already tried all your other suggestions before and unfortunately none have fixed the issue. At this point, I think this is a problem with AMD Software and/or the Asus PG27UCDM firmware.

yeah, well if its firmware you can install your latest one downloading it from here
https://rog.asus.com/monitors/27-to-31-5-inches/rog-swift-oled-pg27ucdm/helpdesk_bios/
there is a guide inside, but basically you have to connect USB B or USB C and put KVM to that option and the update is seamless and takes around 5-6min or so
I just did this earlier today, but for my monitor MCM102 is the latest, for me the FPS counter doesn't work at all in all three games I tried and I'm out of ideas as well
P.S. don't think you really need the sync as it doesn't change anything from my experience except making alt tabing a bit worse than it is otherwise and for me the FPS counter can be any 3rd party software that I am used to, but its annoying encountering not working stuff on premium products - thats for sure, so I hope we find fixes sooner or later

Updating to the latest firmware was the first thing I did and it didn't help, but thanks for attempting to help nonetheless. It seems like the HDR part of FreeSync Premium Pro works at least. I hope ASUS sees this thread and works on firmware updates that fix our issues if these are problems on their end.

I hope so too, good luck!

Update: The latest update to Radeon Software(25.6.1) did not fix the issue. Also, I've noticed that the Adaptive Sync option I have in place of FreeSync Premium Pro doesn't appear to be working properly. When playing a game with a 60fps limit, I can see in the monitor's OSD that the refresh rate constantly jumps between close to 60hz and over doubled or tripled it instead of staying at 60hz. (I've edited the original post to include this information)
