PG27UCDM HDR not working

Voitac
Level 7

It was working all fine. After I pressed in OSC "Reset All", my monitor doesn't read HDR/Dolby Vision signal anymore.

I can toggle HDR ON in Windows11 but in OSC it says HDR OFF. Colours are super washed out.

I installed new firmware update, installed WHQL drivers. Nothing works. In OSC it's always "HDR OFF" no matter what I do. PLEASE HELP

Hi @Voitac ,

Regarding the issue you've reported with your ROG Swift PG27UCDM monitor, where the HDR / Dolby Vision functions become abnormal or disabled after performing an OSD "Reset All Settings," please provide the following information to assist us:

  1. Connection Method and Cable Used: Please specify how your monitor is currently connected to your computer (e.g., HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, etc.) and the model of the cable you're using.
  2. Factory Reset: Please try performing a factory reset on your monitor first and observe if the issue still persists.
  3. Operating System Version: Please provide the version of your operating system
  4. Graphics Card and Driver Version: Please provide your graphics card model and its driver version.
  5. Video of the Issue: If convenient, please record a video of the problem occurring, especially showing the screen where you try to enable HDR but it displays "HDR OFF." This would be very helpful. (MP4 format)
  6. Manually Switch Input Source: Please try manually switching the monitor's input source to another device (e.g., a game console, another computer) and then switching back to the original device to see if the HDR status recovers.
  7. Switch to Different Source Port: Please try connecting the monitor to a different HDMI or DisplayPort source port to see if the issue remains.
  8. Re-enable Windows HDR Function: Please try disabling and then re-enabling the Windows HDR function, and then power cycling the monitor to see if the issue is resolved.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hey,

I found out a solution. The VRR was messing with the HDR signal. Once I turned OFF and ON VRR again, the HDR signal was finally read.

There's another issue though: OSD cannot remember HDR setting I set:
