I have been using the PG27UCDM for a few days now and have noticed an issue where the display will go black for a few seconds and turn back on. When the screen goes black, I can still interact with the content and audio is still working as well. This happens during games as well as regular web browsing. Currently I have tried the following:
Has anybody else noticed this happening with their monitor? I am currently testing if the issue is gone after disabling the Neo Proximity Sensor. Will report back later.
Update:
I have not had any black screen issues for 8 hours since disabling the Neo Proximity Sensor. Just now I tried to use the Tailored Mode for measuring distance and I noticed it shows around 30 cm distance even if I move away during measuring. I have enabled the Neo Proximity Sensor again and set the distance to 120 cm to perform a new test.
Update 2:
After setting the distance to 120 cm I still have the problem of the screen going black. What I think is happening is that if I'm not moving around enough, the sensor thinks I am no longer at my desk. For now I will disable the Neo Proximity Sensor and hope someone from Asus sees this post.

Hey im experiencing the same issue and have been talking to Support from Asus. When i wiggle the power or displayport cable it comes back instantly. Will try the neo proximity sensor too.

Hi, see my latest update. I think the monitor is waking up again because you moved and the sensor has detected that you are still there. Try to disable the sensor and see if that fixes the problem for you as well.

By the way, if you get an update from Asus, can you post it here? Thanks.

indeed without proximity sensor it works like an charm. RMA has been requested through Asus support now on my end

So you are going to replace the monitor? I think that it is not a defect of the sensor. It seems to me like it is a software issue and they just need to fix this via a software update for the monitor.

hey no i will not just sent an email to asus to have this indeed resolved through an software update.
