PG27UCDM Anti-Flicker (High setting) Black Screens

Hi,

I recently got the PG27UCDM and get black screens when I set the antiflicker setting to high. On Medium thia setting works fine. I was wondering what the issue might be? Using displayport 1.4 . When I use HDMI 2.1 the anti-flicker option is greyed out and I can't select it at all.

Hi @iLikeFastFood ,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Regarding the OLED Anti-Flicker function-related issue you are experiencing, we would like to explain the following:

  1. Function limitation explanation: The OLED Anti-Flicker function only supports limited refresh rates. This function is only available when the input source is DisplayPort or USB-C.
  2. Refresh rate confirmation and adjustment: What is your current refresh rate setting? We recommend that you try adjusting the refresh rate first and confirm whether the problem still occurs.
  3. Problem start time confirmation: Did this problem occur immediately after you purchased the display?
  4. Monitor factory reset: We recommend that you try restoring the monitor to factory settings and confirm whether the problem is eliminated.

Please kindly confirm the above information and perform the tests so that we can further analyze the problem.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi, yes this occured from purchase I have tried what you have suggested and the high setting causes a black screen as someone below this post suggested when the frame rate drops below 120 fps.

I have the same problem.
The black screen only happens if the frame rate is below 140.
I have a game with a 120 FPS limit, so no images show at all, even the on-screen display (OSD) does not display. I have to go back to the desktop to change that setting to middle, which works fine.

Thanks for backing this up, now that you mentioned it, yes it is when the frame rate drops below 120! I turned off DSC and I don't get the black screen but it's limited to 120hz and that is outside the high setting vrr range anyway so it is pointless.
