Hello, I recently bought a PG27AQDP and I have to say it's the best monitor I've ever used. But I've been having some problems with it right out of the box. The first day went great and I plugged in the monitor and used it and pixel cleaned fine. I then turned off my PC and I noticed the RGB lights were still on so I turned them off in the settings and went to bed, the ROG symbol was still red but I didn't think anything about it. Then when I woke up the next day I spent 2 hours trying to get it to connect to the computer. I swapped the DP cord and used the HDMI with no success. The monitor was connected to the PC and 2 other monitors worked fine I could tell the PG27AQDP was connected to the computer but it was a black screen with no OSD menu. I then found the workaround, which is to unplug the power and display port from the monitor and wait for the power to cycle out. Then plug back in the power and it shows the Asus and g sync logo and then no display is found. Then I have to keep the OSD menu open once it shows the no display found in the middle of the screen and then plug the display port cord in making sure to scroll on the OSD menu and then it shows my desktop and works fine.
Pixel cleaning doesn't work most of the time, when I choose pixel clean it does the amber rog logo and blinks but it never stops. it says it only takes 6-7 minutes but it seems to go on forever and then I have to unplug the power and repeat the process from before. The number of Pixel clean operations in the OSD doesn't go up after this.
My final problem is when I shut down my PC the monitor does not go into standby mode. It stays the same solid red ROG logo and I can open the OSD. But the power button on the monitor doesn't turn it off at all (the power button works fine when the PC is on) and I have to just unplug it from the power to get it to shut off.
Latest firmware, latest drivers, different display port and HDMI cords used. Any feedback would be helpful. Did I receive a busted unit and should I just return it? Sorry for the yap fest I just want this $1000 monitor to work properly!
